[Sun, Apr 13th @ 9.45am] CUMBERLAND VALLEY MOUNTAIN RUN

When: April 13, meet 09:45 depart at 10:15
Where: From DC/Balt take I-70 west to Exit 24(1st exit past I-81),at
bottom of ramp turn RIGHT onto Rt.63 north, go 1.5 miles to
Sheetz Convenience Store on your left.

This run will start just west of Hagerstown and follow the base of
Fairview Mountain up past WHITETAIL SKI RESORT and across the ***-
berland valley up to the top of South Mountain to HIGH ROCK(one of the
top hang glider spots on the east coast). Super view of the valley from
there and we won't have to hike throught the woods to get there. We
will then continue up to Catoctin Mountain Park, past Camp David and
on to Thurmont for lunch at the COZY RESTURANT(www.cozyvillage.com).
Total miles for the run are 75+/- and we should be at lunch around 1:30
at the latest. There are some great roads here and some outstanding
scenery, I think that everyone will enjoy it and have a good time.

Please have you name on the participants list. RSVP

If there is a rest stop scheduled at about the halfway mark, we are in. Love those western Maryland roads.

YEAH on making more Sunday runs! Hopefully Jay and I will be able to make it! Of course, working in the hospital, it is so hard to know what my schedule will be then, but if I am off, I hopefully will be there!

Problem is I have one day off, which is Sunday, and that is alot of driving. I don't mind taking up half my day or more for a MINI event when I had the weekend off.

Thanks for putting this together, minirab. Those are some excellent roads up there so it will undoubtedly be a great run!

Bev and I will definitely try to make it.

I'll try for this one... I want to make a real effort to make some of these MD runs, since for quiet a while we had a lot of VA activities. I think it's about a hour and a half for me to get to the start so I appreciate the not too early start!

Arrgh, I just found out today that I need arthroscopic surgery on my right knee. That will happen on March 28th.

Might have to bum a ride if my gas pedal leg isn't ready for a workout by then.

I just got off the phone with the manager at the Cozy. If we have a
minimum of 15 people we get a discounted price on their Sunday buffet
that includes the full buffet, bevereges and tips inclusive, for a set low
price. We will have our own room to ourselves right off the main dining
room. For the people who have not been to the Cozy, they put out a
good spread, right Chris?! Hope to see everyone next Sat. Cheers.
