I'm still waiting too... supposedly tomorrow it will arrive at the dealership...but that's not for certain.

 

Good Luck on a quick delivery guys. I know how hard it is to wait but avoid doing what I did and pushing the dealer to release the car earlier than they intended (after it actually arrives at the dealer of course)... I ended up having to go back for this and that things that where neglected in the haste I created.

Anyway, spent the day Me-Ifying Moe... Got the XM Direct (plays right out of stereo instead of Sirius), the AUX adapter (for ipod), the front and rear custom hawaiian flower graphics (Thanks Mike!) all installed myself (well a little help from my best friend cause no one is born with 4 working hands.

Sorry to hear it Giants.... I was delayed back to today after a promise of the 21st, but suddenly got an email on friday the 20 saying that the car was suddenly there at the dealer. It has been worth the wait!!!

 

eenie... LOVE your COOL flowers...against the lovely blue, they just pop! Just lovely...

How did I get 35 mpg? lol....I don't know. ha ha...that was before break in and I 'hear' it could even get better.

My MINI was suppose to arrive today...but my MA emailed me to let me know 2 GPs and 2 convertibles arrived instead.

Lisa, the plate frame I actually found online... I was searching for something with that theme and came across it... I was ecstatic it matches perfectly, is well made (it is a decal but the frame itself is nice and sturdy) and was not $$. The stripes themselves are intimidating but rather easy to put on if you have a second person who remains calm everytime you freak!

 

Well i have some promising news. I signed on to the owners lounge this morning and it still says my estimated arrival date is today. Im hoping the dealer calls me with a good surprise today.

 

Oh Giants I feel for you... your wait is extremely long. :( I promise its totally worth it though and once you are driving away and ready to make it YOURS... you'll forget all about the delivery pains!

well my expected delivery date still shows as 10/29/06 so I dont know what is going on. I am starting to get discouraged. I can't wait to be motoring though in my very own MCS.

I am hoping this Wednesday will be adoption night and I will be bringing home my new pride and joy. Won't be doing any detailing on it anytime soon...so I will keep the peanut butter away..for now ..(the look on your wife's face when I told her about detailing with peanut butter was classic ).

Hope you join SCMM and come to some of our other get togethers, they're usually on Saturdays. We have a lot of fun events planned in the upcoming two months.

I picked it up on Tuesday and had it Zainoed, tinted and badged by Saturday. Definitely worth the wait.

 

Well my MA has requested the sales manager to call down to the port and see what the heck is going on. My MA is out of explanations. Hopefully when my MA gets back in the office Thursday my baby will be there ready to pick of Friday.

 

I had the tint and the stripes and all the xm and aux stuff done but didn't get it Zainoed (I wanted the stripes to cure first).. now going out of town for the weekend so its going to be another weekend before I can get it done :(

Hi everyone.. sorry it took so long to post this.
Been busy motoring!

Here are a few pics of my new JCW. I picked her up on October 21st.
Delivery Day.

Ive put a few mods in her... the last few pics in this album. The license plate is from the previous MINI...still trying to decide what to put on this one.

And finally, some friends of mine in DCMM threw a party for the new MINI owners. I was able to get help from them with a few other mods. Got the parcel shelf in, relocated the DPSM switch, and got my auto up circuit back in.

With a smile on my face, I must return to motoring.. Hope everyone is enjoying their new MINIs as well. Happy Motoring!!!

I would like to introduce you all to Whipper, an 06 CR/W MCS JCW with white bonnet stripes. I adopted Whipper tonight and I am so giddy to motor around in him.


Whipper is looking forward to whipping around town, and whipping most cars off the line and on twisties.
