Did everyone's new MINI come with an aux port? Mine didn't... I'm not complaining, cuz I already had one, but just curious.

I think all of the convertibiles built after a certain date have the aux port. I know that my wife's April 2006 MCSC did not come with one, but my Sept 2006 MCSC did come with one (along with a different stereo head unit and larger lug bolts).

OMG....I got my MINI BLACK BOX in the mail last night...what a treat. Hope that means everyone else will be getting theirs SOON! I laughed and laughed

Also, if you need something else free and cool...get yourself a MINI spy toggle...

oil slick, cloaking device, ejection seat, and a few more.

Go to www.minispygear.com

Now click on "MINI Cloaking Device". Asks for VIN and mailing address...Took me 2 wks to get mine...it's a HOOT!

MOE did not come with the Aux port... I installed it myself in like 10mins just me and a dremel to punch the holes to mount the plate under the toggles.

No black box here but I was one of the last ones to pick up my car so I guess I get to wait a bit more.. I have the spytoggles thingie though...

If anyone has any ideas on the next treat (found in rollingstone magazine, need vin and 3d glasses) on that campaign please share... PMs are fine if you don't want to spoil the treat.

Me too! I just got my super secret spy template last night - can't wait to try the cloaking tool!

Thanks for all the help on the ipod adapter. It does seem to be charging the ipod even though I can't listen to it....

Birthday guy signing out!

I got my black box on Saturday. I can't think of any other car maker that does such a thing. Hilarious! Anyways, can someone explain to me this whole spy thing? What's with the glasses and how do I get me a pair?

Are you talking about the welcome kit? or the "black box"? I got both the welcome kit and the spy toogles the other day!
(My second welcome package..I now have enough travel bingo cards for four people )
..... now I need my MINI back to put the toogle template on

Happy Thanksgiving to my fellow Production Week 37 comrades!

I hope you all have a wonderful day eating and sharing with friends and family in a cozy, warm environment filled with good and sometimes unhealthy yumm yumms.

Happy motoring and feasting!

Happy holidays everyone. I never received the "welcome kit," but I got the "black box" this week. How much fun.... I finally got around to taking a picture of Flo while she was still clean.

Flo is a beauty! I haven't received black box nor welcome kit as of yet but I've found all the spy clues... just ordered the latest (3rd) prize... Men's Health Magazine (son had it laying around) and some red celophane (present wrap) did the honors!

Flo looks beautiful. Sissy - where did you get your front license plate holder? Was it easy to install?

What is the blackbox and/or welcome kit? I'm starting to think that my dealer is not part of another fun program....

I didn't get to motor for two straight days (driving the whole team around in the toaster), so finally had to run to the post office to make sure the junkmail got sent out properly.... Post breakin motoring is so fun! Even got a returned wave!

Hope y'all had a great Thanksgiving!

Lisa, It's called a "no-holes" license plate bracket. You can order it thru http://gominigo.com/18545.html It's very easy to install. The kit comes with a bolt that's threaded on one end for the tow-hook hole and threaded on the other end for a USA-standard nut to hold the bracket. It has four sets of bolts/self locking nuts to attach the license plate. I bought the metal license plate frame from Pep Boys. I really like it; so much better than drilling holes in the bumper. Dave at GoMiniGo is a great guy. He'll help you if you have any problems with the install.

Homer, your 'welcome kit' box should be on it's way since we're all getting ours around now.

I really am not sure about the 'spy kit/black box'...with decoder and other spy neccesities. I thought everyone got that too...but maybe not ...so...I emailed miniusa last week to request one because I could REALLY be a good spy if I had the proper tools ... they emailed back the next day and said one was in the mail!!!

Thanks, Aggie. I'm e-mailing for my spy kit tonight as soon as I get home.
Is this like a Snipe hunt?
