Production Week 37 (September 11) Support Group
I need some therapy
So this morning as I walk by my car, I notice a nice big door ding on my passenger's side back panel! It must of happened yesterday when I was at work as I parallel park at my apartment for the specific reason of avoiding door dings! Needless to say I have been seeing red all day and threatening to key whoever dinged my car! (I have no idea who did it so I can threaten all I want) I even went so far as examing all the usual suspects who park next to me to see if I could find red paint on their door. But unfortunatly I couldn't find the calprit, and since we also have an insurance company in the same building, it is likely that it could have been some random person stopping by the insurance company to make a payment. I am furious!!!!

I called my MINI dealer however and luckily they said they could probably fix it. I just have to swing by sometime and they can take a look at it. I have no idea how much it will cost though.

Ouch! I hate dings! It's hard to avoid them this time of year with the mall parking lots full all the way out to the edges....
I got some kind of goo (maybe the paint that they spray stripes on the roads) all over the passenger's side of Basil
Little globs all over the door and beyond. I thought the paint on the street would be dry by the time I left work.... Any thoughts on removal? While washing, it seems that they come off with a little extra elbow grease and a thumbnail behind the wash mitt. I'm afraid to try anything like bug and tar remover.

You should follow up with scratch x, wax and polish.
Also, take this time to check your motor mount to make sure it is not leaking. The hydraulic fluid can leak onto your tires and spray the passenger side. If it is leaking, you can get Irvine MINI to buff out the stains.
Best of luck!
Thanks Lexter!
I guess I'll have to ask Santa for a clay bar.... The gunk does seem to come off relatively easy when I wet it down and soap it, but it takes forever, and I don't want to scratch it....

I am somewhat saddened by the fact that our thread was bumped all the way to halfway down page two.... Of course, that must mean that we are all out motoring to the malls to help stimulate the economy!
An early Merry Christmas, Happy Chanuka to all!

It's no joke about the mice under the bonnet.
Our garage was built in 1928 and is definitely not mouse proof. I found three piles of half-eaten acorns under Flo's bonnet recently; however, I noticed some cat tracks on the car this morning. Maybe the mice will move on. I hate mice.

This Isn't Good!
Is There A Place One Can Kennel Their Mini?
MY POOR SCARLETT? What kind of a mother AM I to leave her in those possible conditions?
Sorry Scar, there are too many FRESH pina coladas calling me from the island. You will have to fend for yourself...

She'll get even for your neglect. Hope you don't get bitten by sand fleas..... Just teasing. My son and I went on a scuba diving cruise. Everyone smelled of Skin so Soft and Deep Woods Off. Drat, or something like that. We were gone so long, my car wouldn't start when we got back. Heehee, Flo just passed that little trick on to Scarlett.
Hope you have a wonderful trip. Hawaii is just marvalousssssss..... wish I were going agin..... I'm just totally jealous.
Aggie, Make sure to bring us back some virtual chocolate covered macadamia nuts! I've never been to the islands, but there must be someone there to keep you from boarding the plane back until you buy the candy, because every time someone I know goes to Hawaii, they always bring back a box or 5....
Mele Kalikemaka (with apologies for the spelling)!

Have fun in Hawaii! Don't worry, we'll take care of Scarlett for you just leave the laptop booted up and we'll keep her company....
My very good friend and co-worker leaves tomorrow (thurs) for Christmas in Hawaii also.. I'm very jealous!

Yes AggieMini...do have fun in Hawaii. I am jealous as well...however I get to go to Michigan to see some of my family. Looking forward to seeing them, but not looking forward to the cold! Maybe next year I can get everyone together to go to Hawaii....
My niece and her husband live in Grand Rapids, MI. They came to Texas for Christmas last year, so they're having Christmas in GR this year. Brrrrr,,, it can get really cold up there. My sister and I have gone up there for a "girls' weekend" a couple of times. GR is an interesting place, but only in the summer.

Can't let us slip off the front page.. let's hear your MINI gifts! So far I was gifted with the $ to order the IPAQ5915 Travel Companion which is a fully operational IPAQ running Windows CE 5. and more importantly a Portable nav system with vehicle mount fully loaded with TomTom Nav 6.. I can't wait for it to arrive. Secondly, a set of the new leather down tube covers offered by redlinegoods!
Happy New Year
We've just returned from the Corpus Christi area visiting with my sister. Hope everyone had a fantastic New Year. Hope Aggie had a great vacation in Hawaii and no mice made a nest under Scarlett's bonnet.
