Wow, in 13 days, it'll be a year since my MINI officially went on order. :D

Well, she got a few early ones at MITM! A stubby ALTA antenna, some blue eyes, and some more stuff to keep her clean and shiny. :D I've got some other things planned though (graphics and a Whalen)... She's well taken care of... haha!
You all need to get your MINI's birthday gifts too!!!

I'm thinking about a day a the car spa - a little clay, some nice polish, wheel treatment, the works! Maybe even a little peanut butter....
Good to see the old thread alive again! Happy birthday to all the W37 babies!

Happy Birthday to all our Mini's.
I ordered Flo on August 25 and took delivery on October 7. She has a little over 6600 miles as of today. We usually are motoring in and around Fort Worth, but we went to Corpus Christi last fall. I was surprised how comfortable our little cars are. Great gas mileage too. Almost made the trip on one tank of gas.

Not just comfortable, they hold an AMAZING about of stuff in the boot, with the seats up and all.
I was shocked when I left MITM this past weekend how I fit almost all of the stuff I had in the cabin on the way there, in the boot on the way home.
Was lazy with the packing because I was anxious to get there... :D

Yes, they can carry a lot more than first impressions would indicate.
I carry a backpack with tools, a small air compressor kit, a roll of the blue shop towels, and a roll of that rubbery shelf-liner material (for when I put the seats down) in the boot all the time. Still have plenty of room for groceries, etc. Can tote a bunch of stuff with the seats down. I retrieved my vacuum cleaner from my son last weekend. He couldn't believe I could get it in the car.

Of course, carrying golf clubs is a different story. If I meet a friend at the golf course, I can carry my clubs in the passenger seat, otherwise the friend can drive.
Outside of golf clubs, we took Basil on the spring break trip, 3 people plus luggage for a week up the coast to SF and back. Many people were amazed at the amount of luggage that fit in the boot!

Actually, the anniversary of the order being placed. I don't remember the birthday (something about stress relating to vin numbers), but order date was 8/27, with delivery on 10/22. Big party then!
Happy Holidays!
I can't believe we were all the way back to page 18 - guess we've been busy motoring! Basil is up to 18k miles, and looks great with a new coat of Epic for his birthday!
