Payed for a slot for July, $1000 deposit, was told possible delivery of September.. It is now almost September and I have no production number, and the dealer says they have nothing from the factory..
Is there any way to light a fire somewhere to get some push into this already late production?

 

Sounds like you put down a deposit to get on the waiting list for an allocation slot.

 

I had the same problem, except I put my money down in May. Ended up with Sept 3 production. Hoping to accept delivery mid-October.

 

I put my money down for mine in March and did not get it until September 4th with a late July build. You can try calling MiniUSA, but I doubt it will get you very far other than possibly some compensation from the dealership.

 

It sounds like the dealer took your deposit for a place in line, not an actual allocation.

Where are you located? Get your deposit back while coordinating with a different dealer that has an allocation available.

OK! Sounds like the timing of your order will end up being pretty much average, 10-ish weeks, from order to delivery.

FWIW, order slots for JCWs are tough to come by right now, for whatever reason.

I had to really push to get the slot for my customer when he ordered his 2016 JCW 6MT in July. Just delivered it today.

 

Mine is on the Galveston Highway about 3 days out of Southhampton with eta of 10/06/15 at Baltimore. Not able to track it right now but with hurricane cutting a path north between ship and the US it could be anybody's guess when it will actually see the port. Patience, patience... 😁

 

The Galveston highway docked in Baltimore this early AM. I believe next stop is Brunswick, ga in the next couple of days then off the ship to the distribution center, then trucked to Pensacola dealer. I ordered it on Aug 6th. Moonwalk gray with black top and mirrors and every option I could get on it. Allowing myself to get excited now!

 

Car unloaded at Brunswick, ga. Looking at early to middle of next week to pick it up.

 

Just got word it will hit dealer Tuesday and pick up for me is Friday.
