I'll have a new mini in the family and it's scheduled for Week 37 production.
Join in if yours is as well!

(To find out your production week, call 1-866-ask-mini, get to a human, and give them your production number)

I just called! woot! week 37 barring blights or plagues. (all of which I could picture happening in England.)

The mini spokes woman on the phone had a really nice voice. :D

Knock, knock, knock.... will any of you nice W37ers let me in? I just talked to ASK MINI and was told I had been bumped back from W36 to W37. I need help. Anyone got any extra xanax or pain killers they don't need. Maybe a nice ice pick into my frontal lobe. I wish they had never told me W36.

don't worry yo's dad...we're still only in the end of week 35...i was given some false hope too...actually i don't know yet if it's a false hope...i joined the w36 support group though coz their production date seems to have started a lot earlier than they expected...but anyway, i think we're on the same boat here...i'm still not sure if i'm a 36 or a 37 hang in there! and hope for the best! you can check out my other posts (in week 36 support group thread) to see what happened to me

Well I finally gave up. I ordered the second week of July. I told the MA that I had a deadline as I was losing my transportation. He assured me of a late August delivery... in my driveway.... I'm thinking... this is good, yup, this is fine....

Then I start into the waiting. By the second week of August it was obvious my car was not going to make it to me when I needed it. I just couldn't wait so I did a massive country-wide search for a mini that was as close to my ordered car as possible. I found one and bought it. Cancelled my order. Just for fun though I have continued to track my ordered car through Ask Mini.... it has now been bumped to week 37.... let's see... a promised August delivery and it looks like it might show at the dealer in October.... I have to admit that I'm glad I went ahead and searched out a car and didn't wait. I'd be on foot right now, and in this city, that isn't a pretty thing.

Happy waiting. You are on the downhill side of the wait now I would think.

wow pottermom! thats amazing that your car wouldn't be produced until week 37. I guess I was lucky being a socal'er that my car was slotted for wk 36, but ended up being started in wk 35. But, I am still happy that you had a fabulous birthday weekend topped off with picking up your new MINI!!

there is a 36 and 37 undefined thing going on.

38 is the crap hole to be dumped into if those dont work out. i might be getting my mini before octber I was told today if I remain as planned, week 37. I live next to NYC though, so we get quick shipments.

I called ASKMINI today and was told by a very nice lady that my car would go into production at sometime during Week 36 but most likely be finished on Sep 11, the first day of week 37. Does this make me one of you one or am I a 36er?

Your production week is determined by the date your MINI is finished. Thus, you would be a 37er

Wow, Pottermom, you would have been ready to choke someone had you waited! Its good you were proactive and got one. I was a week 29'er and got my MINI 2 weeks ago. It was delayed 10 days or so because of a scratch. It was the longest 6 weeks of my life ending the longest year of my life(Katrina ). Bottom line, I'm thrilled with my 06. I should have started out with a JCW because its awesome! The rest of you guys, hang in there. Lots of ups and downs coming but you'll get your MINI and you'll forget (kind of) these 6 or 8 weeks.

Just curious as to where you got this info from? I had always thought it was the start week as the finish time appears to be somewhat variable.

I've also always been under the impression that here at NAM, the "birthdate" is when your week falls. I think I read it somewhere in the 5,232,462 pages of the "tracking your mini" thread.

I think they are stalling. No, being highly intuitive and realistic and always accurately pessimistic, I can say that it is obvious that they are stalling due to some irritating factors that they do not want to share.

It's just the impression I got reading through the many PWSG threads...I could be wrong, but that's how it usually goes (I think).
