Coolant Leak issue?

Its 2-3 days now, that ive noticed a large leak stain (its not oil) in the ground under the hood. Specifically its located under the bonet, in the CoDriver's side. Also when returning home, i got this icon in red color and i could hea -while driving- the car, the fan working continuously. Any ideas what to expect?

If there is a coolant leak on the passenger side, then it is likely the water pump seal. And I think that symbol means high coolant temp. Might be time to change the water pump, cross over pipe, and thermostat. How handy are you in the garage?

I also remember that, i had parked the car on a "dodgy" pavement and when i came down from it, i heard a knocking on the minis front underneath area. Is it possible that i might had broken or taken out any pipes that transfer the coolant fluid?

The leak is possibly from the water pump. Check whether the friction wheel turns the water pump pulley when the engine is idling.

I don't know where that is to look for it as I’m not aware of tech stuff. Any video that can help me perhaps?

Try to find videos of R56 water pump replacements, and that will get you pointed in the right direction. You will have to go in through the passenger wheel well.

Before buying or replacing any engine parts, you must first identify the precise coolant leak location(s) so that you avoid doing tedious work and installing parts needlessly.

Until the problem is solved, it would be best to stop driving the car because an overheated engine can lead to irreversible damage.

I apreciate what you say, i just want to be ready to get the best parts available and not what the mini shop will want to put. After i got a red icon, ive parked the car staying put!
Btw what kind of irreversible damage are you talking about? :-(

Effects of severe engine overheating: dropped valve seats, cylinder head warping and cracking, cylinder bore scoring and piston distortion, engine block warping (main bearing bore alignment), and turbocharger bearing destruction.

I was driving the mini and could hear the fan working but no fluid temp icon would come up. Then when i arrived to my destination and idled while parking the red icon showed up... u think an issue might have been created?

It may be a good sign that high coolant temp warning light did not turn on until you stopped and idled engine. How long did you idle engine with the warning light on?

I can't guarantee that there is no engine damage but, based on your information, I feel optimistic for you.

It was the water pump. They put on this and claimed it was OEM. Is GEBA oem?

Here are some pictures of the factory water pump out of a 2010 N16. There was no manufacturer branding anywhere to be seen. Though the housing was plastic, it was glass fiber reinforced and of much better surface quality/precision than the replacement Dayco.
