I'm praying it isn't oil in the coolant. How old is your mini?
If you have the gauges keep an eye on the oil puressure and water temp to see if anything seems different.
Typically the coolant is a shade of green, could look dark without a bit of light on it. Oil will look like drops of water sitting in water, it's weird, kindof like a lava lamp, the two substances won't become one.
Check your oil, check for being low and/or water looking stuff in it.
Also take a look at the powersteering pump fan, maybe something is blocking it?

:( i dont have gauges, if there was Oil in the coolant, i think there should be a Blue Smoke isn't ? but everything seems fine..
how can i check if there is sumthing blocking my powersteering fan ??
i think there is low oil in my powersteering, do you think this will cause the fan work ??
today im gonna refill it
thx man

My car had the same appearance until I drained the factory fill of antifreeze and put in fresh. That cleaned up the look of the reservoir a lot.
Has your car ever had the antifreeze replaced? If it is a 2003, it is probably due.
Do you have the AC on? If so, the radiator fan may be cycling due to that. Turn it off and see if the fan is still running when you first start the car.

factory coolant is an odd color
the factory coolant is an odd color - turns almost a brownish ....
I had a flush done and replaced with factory stuff and it turned the same color. there are threads about it....just the way their particular stuff reacts to heat but tests show no loss of efficiency.
it is not out of character for the fan to continue to run for a bit after you shut down. if the temps are high the fan continues to run until the engine cools down.....my Miata does the same thing - my VW Rabbit did too. However it should be run for very long....and if you are not in unusually warm conditions it probably should not happen. also the sensor that causes the fan to come on can fail - mine did and the far ran all night killing the battery. mine was repaired under warranty & the dealer said the bad sensor required the entire fan assmbly to be replaced......and to get to that the radiator was pulled! I'd rather NOT encounter that one when I have to pay for it.....

Harhoosh, if you are seeing daytime temperatures in the 80's and 90's, then your fan behavior is normal. If things start getting crazy, you might want to consider changing to a lower temp. thermostat. I know I will, once Spring becomes Summer, and the daytime temps start hitting 110.
ps: the m7 180 degree thermostat may be just what you need. Just be prepared for the Check Engine light that will soon follow.

Have you checked for air flow into the engine compartment to confirm that it is the fan and not actually the power steering pump?
As others have said, it is normal for coolant to go from a dark blueish green to a miky brown.
