Nice wheels Giants!

I've only added the m7 strut reinforcers and a glove box organizer and the wind deflector.... I did just order some stuff from detailers paradise though, just in case I run into Lexter around town

Homer...we should do a detailing day..I'll bring over the peanut oil.
One thing you should consider getting is the Wet Okole seat covers...they're great. They're in Costa Mesa and they will install them for you.

There are also pics of my new armrest. Another mod so far is a glovebox organizer but no pics. I am in the process of totally revamping my whole audio system. Can you tell the mod fever has caught me?? Do you have this disease too??
Love your wheels!
I too have the mod bug (staying out of the engine bay though!)... as seen in my previous post (a few posts back I made a list)... I also have a list of "as money allows" that I'm slowly checking off. I won't do new wheels/tires until I must because with my other cars as soon as I make that change I end up getting a new car!!! yikes huh? Like with my Jeep, once I upgraded from my little spacer lift to a full on $3k lift w/wheels and tires too... I sold the Jeep..(a year later).. got the Z3.. after a year of ownership upgraded tires/wheels (LOVE the Eagle GS-D3s) to the tune of $2k and within 18mos.. sold the Z3.... Moe might get new rubber but I can't do the wheels no matter how badly I want.... its a bad omen with me!

Sounds good to me! I can't even remember the last time I bought a can of wax at pep boys and waxed a car.... I promise I will be better with Basil!

With the timing I have seen so far, I would guess that the bling is a month or more off.... I am a patient person though

No Bling

Where is everyone? Things have been too quiet lately. Flo hasn't received her bling yet, but the weather is finally improving. Time to get out and go motoring.

I got my bling a while back. I'm just excited cuz next week at this time I will actually be motoring in my '06 for the first time since October!
Woohoo!!! We're finally moving back to the mainland!!!
I can't wait for a long flat drive from Iowa to Colorado... hmmm... Might need a detour through Nebraska.

Welcome back! Once you get to Colorado, there are some wonderful roads for motoring.... I don't know much about motoring in Nebraska though - it looks kinda flat with a lot of straight lines.

Good to see the W37 thread back alive!

HEY PEEPS! :)

I HATE SWIRLS! I HATE SWIRLS!

Seriously....I am so intoxicated with my Scarlett babycakes....but I feel like such a bad, bad, no good, nasty mother because the poor angel has weird swirl marks on her.

I have tried using polish (suggested on Detailing 101) after she's washed but I saw them again last night.

Any thoughts?

Have a good week all!!!

Scratch X....patience and a lot of loving..good bonding opportunity with you and your MINI. After the scratch X, polish then wax. always use a clean microfiber towel to wipe down your MINI.

Best of luck,
Lex

Swirls. Bummer, Aggie. Do you think someone was messin with Scarlet when you were having fun in Hawaii? I've not found any swirls on Flo yet, but they may not be as obvious on Pepper White as on the Red. Have you bought an orbital polisher yet? I've got one on my birthday wish list for this summer. The PC might make your job easier than polishing them out by hand.

There's a slippery slope.... I've spent way too much time in the detailing 101 forums lately. I have noticed some faint swirling on the bonnet also and I'm trying to figure out how much time and effort to put into getting rid of them. I think I will wait a bit until I'm ready to strip and wax Basil properly. I think I'll order the scratch x before I forget though....

Have a great weekend y'all!

wow, we got bumped all the way back to page 4.... Where is everyone?

Does anyone have any great ideas to mount a nuvi gps to the Awful After Market Cupholder while still allowing a bottle of water to rest in the AAMC?

Motor on!

Homer, there's a post somewhere that describes how someone uses the plastic lid of a spray paint can. He puts it in one of the small cup holders, flat side up; then he sticks the Nuvi suction cap on it. I tried that and didn't much like its being so low. I found a plastic, flat bottomed cup that fits the big cup holder perfectly. I stick my Nuvi on it. Only problem is that I like to drink bottled water on long trips. I need TWO big ugly cupholders.

Thanks Sissy - I have been checking on the Navigation thread, and might have a good idea. I'll have to wait 'til my nuvi gets here to see if it will work. I think I have a new name for the big ugly cupholders - GDH (godawful drink holders). The darn things are ugly, but they work real well....

Yah! I've become attached to mine. Ugly is charming sometimes. Maybe they'll turn into swans.

me too! Driving from the dealership all I wanted to do was rip that cupholder out but I too, have become friends with it now!

Hope you all are well and motoring as much as you can.
