I haven't received anything yet either. If it is coming from my dealership, than I am not expecting any. They haven't impressed me thus far. This may be a stupid question but what are DRLs?

Yo'sDad - Congrats! Next Wednesday is only a few days away! That gives me hope. I was a little worried that my car wouldn't get here by the end of next week as they told me. But since mine came in on the same boat as yours, then I think it might actually be possible! I'm still keeping my fingers crossed though.

Just got an email from my MA confirming that my MINI would be arriving at Port Hueneme 10/11/06 - my JCW suspension kit is already there waiting to be installed and I should expect another 7 days before my MINI arrives at Crevier! I better email him back in regards to programming options.

Hi everyone. I picked up my Mini tonight. It's gorgeous! By the time I got home it was dark so I'll try to get some pictures tomorrow. I'm really disappointed in my MA.First he forgot to install the AUX input. But guess what everyone- the new HK radios have a BUILT IN AUX port that even the MA didn't know about.Everyone's Mini should have a AUX port built in if you ordered the HK radio. Then he ordered the wrong interior. I ordered anthracite and it came in with chrome patina. My choice was to order another car or take it as is. It actually looks pretty good with tan cordoba but I'm poed he screwed up. ANyway the car is super and I forgot how peppy the S was.Cabrio top was programmed to open outside the car with key and it works great. Good luck all and I hope the wait passes quickly for those still waiting.

That's a good tidbit about the aux input already in there. That must be a new standard thing for 07... ? One less thing I have to install! Where's the connection for the aux located?

Tell me more about the built in Aux... The aux adapter was to plug into the back of the HK unit so you had an outlet so to speak for your aux input device.. areyou saying there is already a port/plug on the face of the head unit?

I should have made notes and posted when I got the email from Mini last week. The email gave me a link that open a web page at the Mini site. As I remember, they wanted six favorite radio freqs to program the radio. The rest of the page was like a multiple choice test. The DRL were defaulted off which is what I choose. The locks would automatically lock at 10mph but you had a choice of no and 10mph for sure but also maybe 5 and 15mph. It was defaulted to 10mph. Another lock feature was one click to open all doors or just the drivers door with a second click to open the rest. I choose one click then second click but it seems to me the default was to open all doors with first click. The wiper feature was defaulted to stop or slow when the car was stopped. Oh, one more lock feature was the convience open where you held the button and the windows would open, if I remember correctly that was also defaulted on. I think that was all the choices in the email. Sorry for my poor memory but I hope that helps.

I knew you guys whould be excited about that juicy info. The AUX input is located in the glove box on the left back wall above the vent **** used to cool the glove box. Pick up a dubbing cord for your Ipod and when you drive your baby home you can listen to your own music. There is an AUX option on the HK selection ****.Sweet!

Ah, I thought this was the default install location? So, if that, then the factory is automatically installing them? Good to know. I'll be sure my guy takes it off. I wasn't going to have it installed by the dealer as I have read its an easy job and had intended to choose my own location for the output. But if its done its done and saves $40 on parts.

(are you sure that the dealer forgot to install the aux for you?) i ordered the HK and dealer-install aux and my baby is due to be at the dealer by next week. so i just need to know if my MA is trying to rip me off by charging me for it even though it already came with the car...(they're charging me $105 (parts + labor) ...thanks a lot for the info!!! oh by the way, what car did you order? a hardtop or the convertible? (as if it'd make a difference you'll never know eh!)

Alright boys and girls. Here are the pictures you have been waiting for. Don't get ripped off by the MA's. Your HK unit is already set up with the AUX unit in the glove box. There should be no $40 charge for this set-up.Please check out my gallery for pictures of the set up in glove box with the new HK radio. (You can also see pix of my Mini I picked up last night!)

I don't know when the factory started doing this (my wife's '06 with the H/K stereo has a build date of APR 06, and didn't come with the AUX IN from the factory).

But, it's great that they're doing it now!

Talked to MA late this afternoon... Mini is ready to be picked up in the Woodlands. We will go get it on Monday. I am so ready to have it...I can't keep all of Mini USA's stories straight anymore regarding my car or what happened with the VIN mistake. Got another story this phone call too... Grrrr....

What was the story you got this time? I'm not going to be able to pick up my "VIN mistake" until the 17th or so, and I'd like to hear what MINI is putting out.

And be sure to tell us how the new VIN plates/tags look! I'm excited for you that you're finally getting your car.

Rich - you are da man! Thanks for the aux input update, and congrats on your baby! I'll make sure to cancel the order for the ipod adapter.

Yeah AggieMini!!! Glad to hear your MINI finally made it. Just curious, how did they compensate you for the VIN mix-up?

My wife has the iPod adapter in her car, and we wouldn't trade it for the AUX input, even if it was free. The AUX input lets you plug a device into the stereo and hear it play, but you'll have no control over it. The iPod adaptor lets you select playlists from the head unit, and you can use the MFSW buttons to change tracks.

Mine will probably have the AUX input from the factory when it shows up in a few weeks, but I'm keeping the iPod adapter in the order, and will probably never use the AUX IN.

iPod-only. It uses the standard iPod "dock" connector that Apple has used since the 3rd-generation iPod. In addition to allowing you to control the iPod from the head unit or the MFSW, the MINI iPod adaptor also charges the iPod while it's connected.

Delivery Saturday Morning

Finally!!!!! Took delivery of Flo this morning. How sweet it is.
She is a perfect baby. My MA advised me to keep the rpms under 4000 for the first 1400 miles. This is going to be difficult. The S really wants to run. I'd almost forgotten how smooth the tranny works.

Have been on the go all day and haven't had time to take pictures. Flo's already dirty. Will have to give her a bath and take pictures tomorrow.

Aggie, hope you have your car by now. If not, it should be soon. Enjoy.
