Have been on the go all day and haven't had time to take pictures. Flo's already dirty. Will have to give her a bath and take pictures tomorrow.

Aggie, hope you have your car by now. If not, it should be soon. Enjoy.
Sissy,

Glad you got your car! I'm about a week behind you - my MA says I should be able to pick up Minimus on the 14th. Surprisingly, the On-Line info matches! Did your MA throw in any free-bies? You ordered during their August Premier Sales Event like I did, how did you fare?

Hello friends!

Glad to hear the progess for you all...AND FLO!! Yeah! Glad she's here!

What's the latest story I have heard about my VIN mistake?

Sept 7 - pulled out of production when problem was caught. Told I would be destroyed, get a new production #, new VIN..etc...just be glad you were in production MA told me...I have a way unhappy customer with his Mini on a boat to the US already which will have to go back! EKK!! NOTHING for two weeks...trying to be patient and wait for MA to call back with new info.

Sept 22- Other messed up Cabrio owners posts made me curious so I called ASK MINI and what the heck...I am in ROUTE????? How can that be? I never got to track new baby through production??? Grrrr....And WHAT???? She's been on a boat for a WEEK??? It took OL 7 days to update to this status...I never could pull up my VIN in WW... MA tells me VIN was taken care of in England since I was in production...so fine...I am okay again...I think. I check OL again and review order and there is a different VIN and finally can track it in WW but it's already almost to first USA port...no big deal...fun to see part of the journey!

Sept 30 - get off boat in SC. I call MA to ask when it will be in TX. You are not scheduled to leave SC until Oct. 5th. Says MINI USA is still trying to determine WHERE to reVIN the mess ups...do it in SC or at the dealer? He said they would have an answer in two days...fine...I call back in two days (yesterday, Saturday, Oct, 7) and leave message...MA called me back at 4:30pm to say you're Mini is ready for you! WHAT?!?!?! How the HECK did it travel from SC to TX in 48 hours, get cleaned up, get a tint job, and clear bra and get on your showroom floor?????????????????? So I asked...what was decided about the reVIN? He blankly asks..what do you mean? Well two days ago you said it would be reVINed in SC or at the dealership...what was decided. OH, says MA...you were reVINed at the plant in England! WHAT? Sheesh... can we please make up one story and follow it!!!!

I really am not mad....just frustrated that I never got a straight story. And I am totally anticipating a different story when we go pick up car on Monday...lol...

I will be asking so...I was told Mini was going to compensate VIN mess ups with something...what exactly is that? (expecting him to say...you were caught in production so... (Mini ****...'No compensation for you. Move on.") ha ha....

Anything else I should ask? Besides will this effect the resale of the car if I am not buried in it???

Good times, eh?

Congrats all of you that have taken delivery! I'm getting really anxious and trying to get everything ready. I was freaking out yesterday morning thinking about financing. Am I covered enough with capital one? The dealership quoted me a price when I ordered that included TT&L and fees. Should I expect any other fees?

Wylie
Wylie,
The bonus for the August Premier Sales Event was Frequent Flyer miles on American Airlines. Since I figured I'd never use them I traded them for the window tint. My son is very picky on window tinting and gave his thumbs up on how Flo looks. Moritz did an outstanding job. My MA asked me if I weren't going to purchase floor mats. I told him I'd ordered front mats from Cocomats, but I'd love having a free rubber boot mat. The mat was in the car when I took delivery Saturday. I normally have anxiety attacks when having to purchase cars since I don't do this except about once every 11-13 years. My MA was the best. Very bright young man with a lot of good advice. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend.

Annette (PW Club) tells me that the Cocomats are great! I placed my order with a very helpful guy at Cocomats who assisted me with color selection and promises to get them to me for my Oct 20 trip to Corpus Christi. Will let you know how I like them when I get them. I ordered black w/grey dots. I think they'll rock with the grey/black cloth seats.

congratulations to all those who are taking delivery. For those of you on the west coast, the wait is a bit more taxing, but it will be over soon!

Giants, we had seen a shipping report from the port website showing Pegasus coming in on the 8th now its saying 14 and the dealers are still saying 11... so its up in the air. We should be getting a call in the next week though thats for sure.... my only hope is the call is to say a few more days rather than another week. I'll be w/o transportation as of next weekend.

My guess in looking at the schedule link is that the Pegasus goes to Port Hueneme first, then on to Long Beach, then down to San Diego. Port Hueneme is up by Ventura. One of the week 36 owners (Boneman) lives in Ventura, and said he would try to motor by the port tomorrow on the way home from work to see if Pegasus is there....

That being the case, it should be there tomorrow or Weds... the update on the San Diego site shows Pegasus arriving at 7am on the 12th.... if it has to go to Long Beach after PH and before SD... then we're good for those dates!
