Boat? What boat? Where? When?
Aggie/Sissy,
My Mini is headed for Moritz via Charleston, SC, but every time I call 866-ask-mini they seem completely stumped!
They can tell me that it was released to the port on 9/14 but have no info beyond that. One day I'll call and they say "Haven't got info saying it is on a ship, call back tomorrow and maybe we can tell you it is on a boat."
The next person I talk to will say "We only track up to the point where we release it to the port, beyond that we don't get any information - call your dealer, they should know."
I called the dealer today and talked to my MA, he couldn't confirm anything beyond the port release date, but all but guaranteed that it would be at the dealership and ready to be picked up by Oct 14 - I was floored that he could make a bold statement like that based on NO INFORMATION AT ALL!!!
My Mini seems to have fallen into a black hole and it frustrates be beyond words that you both seem to have verified info that your babys are on a boat but I can't learn squat about mine!
I've been waiting since ordering on 8/22!!
I can't understand why they give such a high level of visibility into status then POOF, it falls off the face of the earth! Dang! Crap! Wish I had some news!

Anyway.. consider this.. if the MA gave you a date thats cool.... seems like you're going faster than mine has.. I ordered 7/23 a full month before you.. and if your date and my date for arrival are correct you'll receive sooner.. be happy
whats the booking number
Go to the WW site and hit auto cargo. Put in your VIN#. If your MINI is on a boat it should come up. There are 155 MINIs on Undine which is a few days from Canada as of this AM. The booking number for that boat is GBSOU454724.If you track by booking # all the VIN#s of all the MINIs come up. If your VIN# is among them your golden.Good luck

Aggie's Mystery SOLVED!!
Had some free time today so I went back through several pages of your posts. I started to look on all the ships that left on Sept 15 and saw that others who are in other states near me were all posting they were on the Patriot....
THANKS to those of you who have posted B/L, tracking numbers etc... On the Patriot I found a car that was ONE number off my VIN...I had the updated VIN since my mini got caught in the VIN mistake but something made me go back to the OL and pull up the 'review order' and GUESS FREAKIN WHAT???? I had ANOTHER different VIN...and yes, it exactly matches a sweet little red convert. on the PATRIOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I am typing back in all the boat info in case Sissy, Flower Mound friend...and others want to see if you're on there...
What a CRAZY RIDE....

Well, this is either nothing to do with my mini or else its like a tease:
theres one car with 1 digit off from mine on the boat.
WMWRE335X6TN27002
mine is WMWRE335X6TN27003
could it be in error or no?
my car is MIA on the ww site since completion 6 days ago

I searched VINs on the booking numbers for the Undine and Patriot - mine was not on either. I wasn't even lucky enough to be teased by the "one number off" bully. I then went and searched the booking numbers for the 10 previous and 20 latter shipments and still came up empty handed. The VINs appeared to be in order, and I saw VINs that were before mine and after mine. The closest was about 160 away. If anyone gets a booking number for the Maersk Wind please let me know. Hopefully my Mini will be on that boat if it isn't already on a mystery ship.
I just posted in 38's forum. A lot of people here believe they should be on 38 and its growing. Quite a dismal place! THey need some cheery people in there! I am not helping either, im like Prince of Gloom. (there are kings of gloom on here though that dwarf my ability to depress).
Anyways, the manager of my mini dealership, named Steve, said that if he had to guess, the car is on a boat even though no one can confirm that. He said that when it can be confirmed, it will be already at port most likely and give the message that it is at sea.
What a wonderfully accurate system! Steve says that the communication between the WW and mini dealers and miniusa is getting increasingly really really poor until it hits a port and gets scanned again. UK only knows of things it seems, which doesnt help us here, or our dealers oddly!
I also asked if it were possible that a mini be entered incorrectly VIN wise, Steve said that its almost impossible as it is based upon a bar code system. He says that if it is mixed up, that would be really bad and he would hate to think of that happening, but the chances are about 0.
I should start calling for my mini. maybe it will respond.

If it makes anybody feel better my MA told me I was in week 36 so when I hung out with them for awhile I realized that their MINIs were already produced and on boats already. Then I dropped down to you guys and did some work and figured out that my MINI was almost done production and I guess I lucked onto a ship right away.I 'm really a week 37er.Maybe some of you guys are really in week 38. Just a thought,
Lol! what a mess with this info. I think it is best we should ignore searching for a while until thing get more drastic! I too was a week 36 at first, then 37 definite then who knows where the car is category.
Update: if you look at the zoomed out UNDINE, youll see a Hurricane approaching below it! NOOOOOOoooooo!

Info from Moritz Mini in Arlington
My MA is a really bright young guy, who went to extra effort to dig up the following information for me today. Flo was loaded onto the Franconia on 9/15 and is due to arrive in SC on 9/28. He believes she should arrive in Dallas from SC approximately a week to 10 days after unloading.
The Franconia is one of the "K" Line ships. Voyage #FRA0148BSC, Bill of Lading #KKLUHAM105751. Hope this helps those of you in the DFW area. I've not had time today to try to locate this ship, but I don't think it's listed on the WW site.
I just checked on this link: http://www.port-of-charleston.com/vessel_schedule.asp
It shows the Franconia due in on 9/28, and is listed as being received by Carolina Shipping in Charleston.

bears repeating....
One thing to remember when searching the WW site is not al vehicles will be found on it. The other shipping lines used to carry our cars (especially West Coast bound) do not use this method. When sharing info on how to find your MINI it would be fair to remind newbies of this fact.. the actual info is IF your car is being shipped by WW you can look up your VIN here... if you don't find it that doesn't mean you're not on a ship, you're just not going with this company. It aggravating though when we can't find our numbers and become suspect of every other MINI owner... I finally found out my MINI (ordered 7/23-completed 9/12) is actually shipped out as of 9/18 and due in port 10/10... yet no one knew a thing besides he's at the docks until yesterday a full 5days after drifting away.... my VIN will never show up on that site but he's still on his way.
The Booking number for the MW is GBSOU468412. This is one more ship that is NOT carrying my Mini to the US....

WyNG:
Thanks for the booking number, but I'm not on it. Do you have any other booking numbers for other ships? Any numbers, no matter how many would be appreciated.
I have never seen my VIN show up on the 'auto cargo' tracking site, so even though I see VINs that are very, very close, I am just not there.
If you don't have your VIN listed in the auto cargo link, how do you get the booking numbers for all the ships?
