Production Week 37 (September 11) Support Group
Okay so according to Ask Mini my car was started on the 8th and finished on the 19th, so does that make me week 36 or 37?
Anyways I am still waiting to be assigned a vessel, as of 22nd (is this normal), and WW still finds nothing when I put in my VIN.
Thank you to everyone for posting the booking numbers...I was hopfull that the Maersk Wind was my ship but I didn't find my VIN on the list, is there any chance they are still loading since its not due out until tomorrow? Yikes this is the hardest part so far....anticipating the journey over the "pond".

Actually makes you week 38.. Week 37 finished production between 9/11 and 9/16.
My car vinished on the 12 was at the docs by the 13th and got on a ship on the 18th....however I didn't receive confirmation from any of the sources until the 23rd.... and never found my VIN becasue its not being shipped by the WW company which is the only company with traceable cargo/VIN option. So.. no worries about not finding your cars VIN and the timing is about right.. It would seem the cars are boarding ships within 5-7 days of arriving at the docs.. some are lucky enough to get right on within 2-3 days but thats not the norm.
I'm really confused, but of course that is nothing new for me. I just checked the list of VINs for the Maersk Wind, leaving on the 25th (Monday) and arriving Charleston on Oct 4. There are VINs with numbers after mine on that list.
Maybe the list is not complete? Maybe I'm on the ship that sailed just before this one? Can anyone determine the ship that last left Southhampton going to Charleston and the booking number? If I can believe all the stories, I've been sitting on the dock for 11 days.
thanks
YD

My MA is a really bright young guy, who went to extra effort to dig up the following information for me today. Flo was loaded onto the Franconia on 9/15 and is due to arrive in SC on 9/28. He believes she should arrive in Dallas from SC approximately a week to 10 days after unloading.
The Franconia is one of Kay Line ships. Voyage #FRA0148BSC, Bill of Lading #KKLUHAM105751. Hope this helps those of you in the DFW area. I've not had time today to try to locate this ship, but I don't think it's listed on the WW site.
I just checked on this link: http://www.port-of-charleston.com/vessel_schedule.asp
It shows the Franconia due in on 9/28, and is listed as part of Carolina Shipping.

Welcome Running4 from Tulsa...
It's completely common for your cars info to be off. Nice to hear that huh?
WW was never current for me and I could never pull up my VIN...I finally called ASK MINI last week and they said you've been sailing for a WEEK!
Keep calling, keep asking questions... and yes, I believe you are in our week!!

Yo'sDad - I feel your pain! This is so frustrating!!! I just checked the WW site for the Maersk Wind departing tomorrow but I too am not on it. I know as of Friday I am on a boat that had not sailed yet (still loading) but I don't know which carrier it is on or when it is scheduled to depart England and arrive in SC. WHY IS IT SO DIFFICULT FOR MINI TO SHARE THIS INFO WITH US!
Let me know if you hear anything!

Has anyone had any luck with the free trial subscription on AISLive? I tried to sign up on Friday, but have not heard back from them.... I'd like to see the Pegasus with all our babies on board steam through the Panama Canal
Bill of Lading # not working

I was encouraged by your discovery, but it still seems impossible to get anything solid! If you go to the Port of Charleston web page you can follow a link to On-Line Tools, from there you can go to a Tracking page where you can enter a Bill of Lading number. I entered the BOL you posted but get a reply stating "Please enter a valid Bill of Lading." It is actually labeled as an Import BOL Release Status Inquiry so maybe it won't pull anything up until they release the items on the BOL, which I assume would be after it was unloaded. UUUGGGHHH!
Anybody besides me on the Undine? It's presently headed to Canada and then scheduled for docking in New York on Thursday. Hoping to be in my MINI by next week as Princeton MINI is right down the road from the port.
I got an immediate response but it doesn't help us.. the free version is so limited it only shows the boats right up against the UK port areas... our boat is beyond that so I couldn't find it.. even a several days ago.
On another note my MA confirmed I am on the Pegasus Leader and he gave me the voyage number if that helps anyone... J1KVOY570X and this is on the NYK Line.
eenieMini....I have not been able to confirm a ship name through my MA but seems to think my car will be on the west coast arount the 10th. So good for you that you got a ship name. On the AISlive link, I had the same trouble but found if you click on the home link in upper right corner you will get a page with a world map, click on the appropiate land mass and you will get choices of ocean area maps, although it still seems to be just coastal areas. Hope you can find your ship.

Re-VIN Mix up
OL Says: Awaiting Transport
ASK MINI Recording: Awaiting Transport
MA says: You will get a NEW production number, a NEW VIN, and start production AGAIN.
ASK MINI LIVE PERSON: We are supposed to have you contact your Motoring Advisor but let me check. No, we show no information on your Mini and we are so sorry for the problems. We cannot re-VIN a car so the information in the OL is old and not reliable.
*BIG SIGH*....it's okay...what's another few weeks without my precious babypie.
lol...
I have to laugh...otherwise I would go nuts.

I have to laugh...otherwise I would go nuts.I "was" a week 36er got caught in the VIN mix-up. My car was completed on the 7th of September. I've not received a new VIN, or production number. Princeton Mini has 6 of the cars and was told that the cars are not being rebuilt - just re-vinned. If the car was already loaded they are doing the conversion in the US and that the delay is approximately 2 weeks from last week (or 4 weeks for me). Any news or feedback from other MAs?
I checked the WW site again today but still no VIN number on the ship setting out today. My hopes is that it is on a mystery boat and on its way. It may be time to contact my MA. I think my family thinks I've gone completely nuts and obsessive. Maybe I have...but I don't care. I mean, come on, its a MINI...do I need to say more!

Hey Mpbradley!
Interesting! I stopped getting updates on my Mini on Sept. 7th. It's so odd the different stories we all get. I have had 3 VINs. The original one (with incorrect number 7), then OL updated it to have the 7 turned into a 6, and then this weekend, saw a different one all together...my dealership Mini in the Woodlands had 4 wrong cars. There was talk we'd be getting 'something' for the hassle but I have heard nothing from MA. I was told it would take an extra two weeks but since they 'pad' their dates to us, I will still get Mini before the 'date' I was given upon purchase.
Glad to see you around here... luckily...my baby's boat is in NY and heading this way... ahh....yet still several weeks away from me.

I was a week 36er also and I ordered my MINI cabrio from Princeton. I was initially given a bad VIN#(2007) but when I called ASK MINI they told me my VIN# had been changed to a different one and my order status didn't change. My MINI is on the Undine. Now you have me worried about a VIN conversion in the US. I think they caught the problem and was able to change my VIN. I also was done production Sept. 12. Wierd.

My MA is Matt Lunetta.
Once again, does anyone know how long it takes to get your car (approximately) after the boat has docked and your car has been unloaded?
