I'm also glad I got the 06! Let the guys do the beta testing. I really don't like to buy the first year of a new-and-improved edition.

yeah i'm glad i got the 06 for that reason too! not to mention we got the most perfect version of the 1st generation mini with all the problems and glitches figured out and fixed! and seriously...the 07 just looks so much more musculine (testosterone) than a girly girl like me can handle!

oh and congrats on your baby! i so envy you guys who can take delivery this week/weekend if everything goes right i'll be taking mine next sat...

Those of us on the Pegasus Leader be ready... KissMYS from the Wk36 thread is onboard with us and she's found that the ETA on our ship has been bumped up to Sunday the 8th! Looks like some of us might be taking delivery next week. I hope Moe travels through the VDC in quick order and trucks on up. I'm ready!

Tequila. Nice Homer....very nice. You have excellent taste.

I was out running work errands around lunch with a coworker and we discussed stopping and having one.

Saw two Minis while I was out.... ahhh....big sigh....

Oh my lucky stars I hope you're right! My JCW will need suspension installed but I hope it doesn't take long. Thanks for the heads up eenie!

Thanks for the updat WyNG. We are getting so close!! It's hard to believe I might be taking delivery as early as late next week! *crossing fingers* My sister will be in town next weekend and she's hoping to take a ride.

Congrats to all of you who have already picked up their minis or are planning to this weekend. Just to let you know...we are all extremely jealous but happy for you none the less. Enjoy!

Sweet eenie mini!!! Thanks for the update. I was looking at the weekend of the 20th as the delivery date but now it looks like it might be the weekend of the 14th. How long does it typically take to get off the boat, go through VDC, and truck up to the dealership in Northern Cali?

Dealer programmed options

Has anyone been contacted by your MA regarding any options to be programmed into your MINI before you pick it up. Just wondering what all the choices will be.

I'm currently pondering "to DRL or not to DRL, that is the question", at least one of them.

[QUOTE=Yo'sDad;1164948]Has anyone been contacted by your MA regarding any options to be programmed into your MINI before you pick it up. Just wondering what all the choices will be.

I seem to remember earlier in this process that someone posted a copy of the options that are available, or it might have been on the week 36 post... I don't think it was a complete list, as it did not have convertible options on it.

I haven't received my checklist yet, but I'm not scheduled for delivery until the 21st. Still need to sell old red and get the last few things out of the way in the garage. I'm getting a little nervous - it's starting to be real as I see pictures of the east coast parents taking delivery Good think I have a good supply of Duff in the frig.

Anyone know what color that pretty blue one in the background is?

Very nice Brihyanna! My best friend was really pushing for me to get the pw/black combo he said its the 'classiest' look. That blue is none other than Hyperblue/white.

Whaaaaa?

I asked my MA about the programming sheet that everyone else seems to get before they take delivery, and this was her response.

"Door locks come programmed...so you won't have to worry about that"

What the %@!&! I'm guessing that this list comes from Mini and not the dealer, but I'm looking to others on the east coast that have taken delivery for guidance on this....

Congrats to all of you that are already motoring! The pictures look great!

whoopeeeeee

My MA just informed me to pick up 'Goodberry' next Wednesday. Now to figure out how to get to Nashville efficiently. The only info he volunteered about programming was DRLs on or off. The door lock thing is apparently 'set' and not an option anymore.

You guys doing the DRL on or off?

My car is supposively on the pegasus due in on the 8th or 10th. I got an email from Mini (not the dealer) last week asking my favorite six radio stations and how I wanted my driving lights, wipers and locks programmed. That must be the extent of it as far as Mini is concerned. Hard to say if the dealer will ask me or say anything.

Basil is on the Pegasus Leader also, and I never got an email from Mini.

I need some more Duff.

Homer I have not received any mailings about programming either. I am fine with the door locks on auto as I have that set on my Z3 so I'm used to it. I don't want the drls on though. Radio stations I can handle myself... I'll be using XM more than not anyway

What are the wiper programming choices you speak of? And are most of you turning the DRLs off or on??
