That really sucks tekron. I can't imagine waiting for another 5 weeks...although I probably would do the same thing. I think they need to put it through the express line and get it here sooner since it was their screw up!

Yeah. Apparently my MA said he will try to get it here "quicker" and should be here "2 weeks sooner than usual". Whatever that means...

Is that even possible?

Tekron-I'm so sorry to hear about your mix-up. Did you order the sport package because the MFSW comes standard in that package. Did you order from Princeton Mini? Who was your MA?.I would be really poed but get the Mini that you want. Don't compromise. You'll have this car for years and if it's not exactly what you want, you won't feel right about the car. Even if you have to wait, you'll have what you want in the end.

Nah, I didn't opt for the sport package. The only package I ordered was the Cold Weather and I ordered the steering wheel separately. Yeah, I ordered from Princeton. My MA is Matt Lunetta. I didn't compromise and the ordered is already placed for my new car. I ordered it with an anthracite headliner though, too this time around. I guess it was meant to be because I would be happier with that headliner.

I can't drive myself crazy over this again checking the order status page every day! I swear to you, that makes it seem twice as long!:impatient

financing???

hey all 37ers!

since most of us are picking up our minis within the next few weeks yippy!!! has any of you been looking for ways to financing your mini?
as for me, this is the first time we ever buy a new car we don't really know where to start ...so i think we're just gonna go with what the dealer has to offer (we're purchasing it...not leasing) so i guess i just wanna see what the options are out there and what i may be missing out...

check your credit union... they have better rates than most banks. Make sure you are aware of your FICO score before you go in. Don't let them wooo you with payments. Discuss interest rates and months, then payment.

You can also do some checking on line (Yahoo financial section and others), and check out other non-traditional things. I'm looking into financing through Costco - great rates so far. We are not credit union members, but the Mrs is a public school teacher, so we could probably join her credit union.

Definetely shop around and try to get one of the offers matched or beat by another bank. I've got a loan approved already through my bank (USAA), but will probably check and see what the dealer can offer. Doesn't hurt to check!

Don't you love USAA? I have them as well.

Definitely check other places...it won't hurt. Check out capitalone.com and e-loans.com. Check local banks and credit unions. If you don't want to fill out tons of applications, just go to their web sites and they will tell you their lowest rates. Even if your credit isn't top tier, you can at least get a feeling as to what they might offer. Oh yeah, make sure you know your credit score as well. You can pay $15.00 at equifax.com for that information. While it sucks you have to pay to find out, it may save you money in the long run. Good luck!

At the Port

The Frisia is at the POC as of 5:00 this AM. They started unloading at 7:00 AM. Some of our cars could actually be off the boat already!

okay...this is a SUPPORT GROUP....so I should feel no shame in admitting to you all that today...is a tough waiting for Mini day...I am not sure why...but my skin feels like it's melting off of my body.... and the sensation of having needles jammed into my skin is also significant right now.

Maybe I should take something...to dull this pain?

Or go to the Mini USA site and play the Mini game... lol... trying to help the guy jump in the Mini...lol...yeah...that's what I need to do. A temporary fix, but a fix none the less.....

How are you people staying distracted????

Buying too much stuff... worrying about selling/trading in my car.... worried about final stages of contracts etc... and planning for the BIG DAY (already warned work I'd be "taking off" whatever day it came and the rest of the week thereafter), planning--pricing tints/clearbra, planning drives....

I recommend tequila, possibly in the form of the margarita
