As a sidebar, one of my mods will be to paint the brake calipers a green color. Just an accent to tie with the name. Yeah, I know - I'm strange. I plan on doing other things using the green but that will happen over time (and when funds become available).
About a month or so ago, my wife and I went to go see the play Wicked. Which, by the way, I would recommend to anyone that likes broadway plays. Excellent. Well, the story, if you don't know, is about how the wicked witch becomes wicked. Not to spoil the story but she isn't really a wicked person, she's just someone that is highly misunderstood and not liked because she's different. People judge her by her outward appearance. I can relate and understand (I have a degree in Pyschology and human behavior interests me). I thought the story was cool and with my teenage brain (I'm actually in my late 40s) related the character to the MINI. Highly misunderstood - people just don't get it and MINIs are different. So I said Elphaba, but it's too long so i decided to go with Elfie for short.

Thanks!!! All of my friends call me a dork because I read so much into stuff and I do things like get obsessed with my car. I think I'm slightly OCD. HA!!!! I am OCD!!! But as I told my wife (who remarked that she wasn't going to ride in the Clubman because she thought it there was going to be too much green everywhere.
) this is my dream car. I built it the way I wanted it and I will keep it awhile. I switch cars way too often. So it is my baby. I just can't wait to start the modding process.

Hey Reyd...
I spoke with Larry late this afternoon and he said that we (those on the Elektra coming to Downtown MINI) should be receiving a phone call in the next day or so. AND he said that virtually all of the cars coming here need to be worked on in Brunswick and then should be available next week.

cool. That is good news. I was figuring that it would be here next week. Can't wait! Its so close that it will make the next week crawl!

Zim has arrived!
Ok, I saw Zim last night at the dealer but didn't have my camera with me, so I couldn't take any pics (didn't think of my cell phone, d'oh!). So this morning I grabbed my wife's Fuji to take a few shots on the way into work. I'm so wanting to drive him home!

Caribbean Highway update -- ahead of schedule
If I'm reading the K-line schedule correctly...
The Caribbean Highway arrived early in Baltimore, on June 7th. It departed Baltimore on the 10th.
Arrival in Charleston is estimated for the 11th. And it's already the 12th, on my clock
Some of our Mini's might already be on dry land. Now, what can we squeeze out of the Port of Charleston web site? Anything interesting?
