Has anyone's MA given them an official "ETA"? I'm not sure if it has to dock before they can do that, etc. etc.

I was walking in NY last night and I saw a BRG MCS w/Navi and many of the other options I selected for my Clubman. Was a good fix to help for a few days....

I received an unofficial ETA of mid next week. I'm not sure if that's true because my car is coming out of the Brunswick port and they have been having "opportunities" getting the cars processed and out. But that's what i was told.

The best ETA I was given last Friday was "sometime in the next two weeks"

My Clubman arrived in Halifax on the 3rd and it's now the 12th. Are we still using dog sleds to transport goods here in Canada??? Come on! I'm going nuts here! Maybe it will come today....ya, that's it....maybe today....

Best I could do is a GoogleMap that *may* show Mini's on the dock. You'll have to use your imagination...

You really think it's going to take 'til the 21st for you to take ownership? I hope note.. I have a lot further to go than you...

Well they said 10-12 days, which is probably worst case scenario? But I do have a lot that needs to get done on mine. New steering wheel, shifter, emergency brake, driving lights, clear bra.

As long as I can get her on the 21st I will be a happy camper, because the MINI motoring club I am joining will be there at the dealer that day!

First, I gotta admit I official accept the fact that I don't have a life. I live on this site when work is slow. And when I'm at home too....

Lady G... I was remiss for not congratulating you for your car (Godiva, right?) making it to dry land in the great U.S.A. that is fantastic news. the ride from Charleston to Charlotte shouldn't take that long. Saturday I'm gonna keep my eye out for a MINI transport!

Oh yeah my wife corrected me last night. It's not Elfie - it's Elphie. She's reading the book and wanted me to know the correct and proper spelling of her name!

Thanks!!! Make sure you you beep and wave if you see her!
They said she has to go to Greenville SC first, then over to Charlotte. Obviously some kind of freak mind games!

Ahhh yes. I like that much better.

My "Jupiter" is being unloaded in Port of Charleston today. We're scheduled to take delivery on Sat, June 28. Several reasons for the long delay:

1) Jupiter has to travel all the way to Dallas and then be prepared for delivery
2) Husband and I are leaving this Saturday (June 14) for a 10 day vacation
3) We want to take delivery on a Sat in order to avoid having to take days off from work (MINI of Dallas is a 2.5 hour drive from home)

So, June 28 is the first Saturday after we'll be home. It's killing me, though, knowing it will be there a week or so before we can pick it up!

Hello fellow ship buddy! Oh wow, Texas comes through Charleston, huh? That is a heck of a trip!

I am in the same situation as you. Dealer is 2.5 hrs away and I need to do it on the weekend, too. Thankfully no vacation scheduled for me, though.

Enjoy your vacation, and know that your baby will be waiting for you when you get home!

Was by the dealer today to sign the loan papers, and saw the guy doing the tint on the windows. He loved the car! Said that if the rear seats, etc. were taken out he'd use it as a delivery van. According to him, the car falls under the classification of station wagon. That means you can tint the glass behind the driver's cabin windows to any darkness you like. I elected to do 35% all around, and limo on the top.

Despite the English Oak option, no oak rimmed steering wheel. Reason given was the MFSW. No EO Auto shift ****, explained as related to the MFSW issue. They wanted to charge me $600 for the MINI EO shift ****! No thanks...

Still in line for a Saturday 9am delivery!

Got a message from Larry on another forum. He said that they will receive 20 prepurchased MINIs this weekend. All of them are slated for delivery sometime next week.

A large group of MINIs are meeting today at Downtown MINI for the drive to MTTS Miami at 945a today.... Wish that we were going!

Hey Reyd...

I don't mean to put the fear of God in us but this is what concerns me. Oh man, murphy is hanging out and I don't like it... Yeah my neurosis is kicking in.

On a serious, sidenote - has anyone seen a thread or heard anything about how deals are closing. Are the dealers throwing in hidden costs (like the paint and underbody sealant)? I was thinking about this yesterday and I don't want any hidden fees popping up when I'm signing the papers.
