Nope, all I know is that she's due in Charleston on Thursday.

I'm joining a Motoring club here, and I'm hoping I will have her by the 21st, as that is the next meeting. They are all meeting at Hendrick that day--wouldn't that be awesome if they were all there when I took delivery?

I just want to say to those of you in Week 21 Support Group - you guys are amazing. We have no idea who we are, we could pass each other in the mall and we wouldn't blink an eye, but because of our cars we are really helping and supporting each other out. That's pretty damn cool. I know this is a support group (at least that's the title of the thread) but the reality is we really are support each other. We don't have to. We could be sponges and get info and head out to other threads but we're not.

I know I'm being sappy but thanks. Maybe I'm crumbling under the pressure of not having my Clubman. ha ha ha. I may want to see my therapist soon.

Well, I better shut up now and go mow my yard.

joe
Very cool Joep. One the reasons I anted a MINI was to drive an iconic car tha had a culture and community behind it. These forums were definitely part of that. These forums are really helpful and everyone seems really cool. No flaming going on. Your post just reinforces my decision.

Great info. Thanks. I could barely go online and look this weekend because I was so bummed that the date got moved back to the 9th. I think that is going to kill my chance for getting it this weekend.

Guess I will pass the time deciding on the my car's name and scoutnig locations for it's first photos.

I have to talk the wife into it first. Making her a car widow the first weekend might not go over well.

As for MTTS - I'd love to go to the Miami stop but I will be leaving for Charlotte next Saturday for my son's high school graduation. His ceremony is actually on Sunday the 15th - Father's Day. I'm so stoked to see him graduate.

Hey Joe! Tried to stay busy here......but still found myself checking the ship tracking too many times to mention! Detailing will seem like a breeze for you going from the Element to the Mini. We bought these car brushes over the weekend for the first washing. We went to a detail clinic a couple years ago and they were using them. Totally love them, but our old ones are getting worn. Don't want to touch the new MINI with that
Congrats to your son for his graduation!!! There will be lots of other Motoring events! Watching your son graduate sounds like a great way to spend Father's Day! I am sure you will have a wonderful time! Will you be taking your new MINI??

First I must say that I just love all the emoticons you use!!! The one above motoring in the convertable is too cute! You really brighten up the thread!

That would work out so awesome if your car did come in on the 21st!! (I wish I insert a really cool emoticon but don't know how it works??) What a way to welcome you into the club!! Our next local meeting is on the 21st also! Good day for Motoring!!

Yeah I was bummed. We were hoping to pick up mid to end of week. But with it not coming in til Monday.....I would think Saturday or into the next week

Funny what you said about the pictures.......I was just telling my husband "Hey I heard there is a gigantic crab (it can fit 65 people in it) in Ohio we should take the MINI to have a picture with it".....

By the way it is not a real crab.....just a large crab building. Wanted to state that before someone was wondering why 65 people were even trying to fit into a crab.

You don't have to make your wife a car widow......bring her along!!! MINI events are fun for all!

Joep, Congrats on your son graduating! Gotta love those special times of a person's life! I want to go to MTTS, but I'm really hoping that the MINI will get here by the 13th....

For detailing hints, I went to Show Car Detailing's site and looked at some of his hints and using Prima products. I've started getting all of the microfiber and purchasing new detailing products too.

Has anyone decided what their first mod to their MINI will be? Ours will be tint, stubby antenna, then eventually wheels.....

Thank you!!

I am totally addicted to these emoticons! I get them from Millan.net

I pay for the "Millan Extras" I think it's like $7 for 6 mos? It's well worth it for me, because they *crack me up!*

Have a great week everyone!!!

Reyd...

Thanks for the info... I guess I need to start getting the good stuff to detail my car!

First mod? I'm going to start off with tinting. We live in Florida and that's a necessity. I have a guy who I'm gonna see if he can go to the dealership and get it done before delivery. After that, I don't know...

Can the small antenna that BMW has work with the MINI?

Mine will be having the stripes painted which wouldn't really count as a mod since the dealer does offer this option, but mine will be painted pepperwhite on the roof rather than the plain white sticker. So in this case, I would think it falls in the category of a mod

jessyca333,

That sounds pretty cool. Are you going to have the black sport stripe painted on the bonnet?

Yeah!!! Finally!! Getting super excited! It seems as though it was late......showed a start time of 8, but the ship did not arrive until 10..... Hopefully this will be the last delay.
