I did see the picture. Very cool. Where did you see the date for getting into port? My MA said about a week to get to Chicago from port, so I am hoping for the 12th.

In the last couple days, my status on ASK-MINI updated to "en route." Since no boats left for Charleston in the last couple days, and I'm not trackable on WW, I'm pretty sure I'm on the Caribbean Highway also.

Mine's a Clubman, completed production on the 25th. Waiting for confirmation on the boat from my MA, and hoping I can take delivery before we leave on a trip the 28th.

Besides consistently being 2-3 days behind reality, I've pretty much determined the Mini Owner's Lounge tracking is worthless. Consider that my car is less than two days from port and the site still shows "Awaiting Transport". Ack!

 

The owners lounge and the recorded ask mini lines are notoriously inaccurate... Talking to a real person on the ask mini is greatly more accurate.


I guess that the neurosis doesn't stop even after taking delivery of your MINI.... It just goes in a different direction!

Hi there! I believe that I saw it on the Port of Charleston website. I have been on so many sites lately trying to track it down I am not for sure. I wish we could get the booking number or more info. The Emden hasn't checked-in in awhile so not really sure where it is. We are hoping for within a week after it arrives also!

 

Apparently so! So my fixation no longer resides with the MINI OL site, or even calling ASK-MINI (they'd say "it's in transport"). I've been hanging a window open at sailwx and watching the rod dots appear. Looks like a Saturday arrival for the Independence II!

I wonder if anyone here was watching the web cams of the ports. I think that one of the ships travelling was supposed to reach harbor at around 5P eastern....

I am hoping for about a week away....depends on the processing in Bruswick.

 

Boredboy- I found out where I got that date from......Our MA sent it in an email to us that we would be at the port of entry on June 6th. I saw the port website says the 7th.................guess will see................
Do you know how to get a pic of it a the port?

 

For our mini, I'm guessing that it won't be here until June 13th or the 16th.

 

For grins, I called ASK-MINI this morning, and it finally says "in transit" rather than "at the port, awaiting a shipping vessel." Since it's almost in US waters, it's about time (OL still says awaiting transport.)

Yep! Only 400-500 miles off the coast. Based on that, there's no reason to think the Independence won't dock TOMORROW! My MA has told me all along it only takes 2-3 days from port to the dealership, so I'll be motoring before next weekend by the looks of things.

 

DANG, where is Carribean Highway?

I've been looking for them on that map, and they still haven't shown up in almost a week? GAWD!

I'm afraid to ask my MA when they expect it to arrive at the dealership. I had read (in the clubman forum) that there have been problems (opportunities) with the processing of MINIs in Brunswick. If all goes well, I should get my car sometimes around the 16th. Unfortunately I am going to be out of town that weekend so I'll see my Clubman hopefully on the 21st.

Hey Lady G... what line is the Carribean Highway? For some reason I have this urge to put on a old Jimmy Buffet cd.

 

Lets hope your MA has better info. As for the pic I have not figured that out yet.

 

The Carribbean Highway is a K-Line ship and they don't seem to want to be tracked. Those of us on the Emden can feel your pain.

 

Let's hope they show up soon!!!

No word from my dealer of how long it will take from Halifax to Brossard, quebec, but he had told me mid June, so I think I have still a bit of a wait left.
