this morning I did my check of where the Elektra was and at first it didn't show an update. Yeah I'm obsessive! I was about to curl up under my desk because I thought it was getting close to the first port and the tracking would stop, but I just checked and it reappeared. Tomorrow it will be docking in Canada for it's first stop. then down to NYC...

I can't wait for it to arrive in Brunswick...

I told the MA when I ordered my Clubman that I would leave there and go directly into a drug induced coma so I would obsess over the whole process.... I failed...

Well, I think my Clubman's sitting on the dock in Southampton, waiting. And waiting. It was completed 5/24, and transported to the dock on 5/27. It's headed for Charleston, which means only every other one of the K-line and WW ships are a possibility.

Didn't think it'd make the K-Line Emden on 5/27, but was hoping for the WW Independence II on 5/30 or the K-Line Caribbean Highway on 5/31.

Now it looks like I'm waiting for the WW Patriot on 6/6 (arriving 6/21) or the K-Line Sierra Nevada Highway on 6/8 (arriving 6/19).

I was hoping with the fast production that I'd have a shot at getting it before a roadtrip on 6/28-30. That seems out of reach now, though.

Still wishing I had a little more data.... Here's what I've tried so far:
--no data on WW tracking for my VIN; not now, not ever
--miniusa.com owners lounge just says "awaiting transport"
--1-866-ASK-MINI tells me 'awaiting transport' and that they can't tell me anything more once it gets to the shipyard (true? or lazy guy on the phone?)
--motoring adviser tells me just "waiting at the dock, will be here late June."

On top of just driving an old car instead of a new one on the trip, if I can close my car loan in June I'll get $100 free gas. Kinda bummin', to be honest....

 

Any more info on the Emden? I emailed my MA today to see if he could get me anymore info!

I know the pain... I think we all do. I ordered my car on a saturday, it started production that tuesday and was finished a week later. It then took ten plus days to go from finished (waiting for a carrier) to getting on the ship. very frustrating. I've got two or three weeks to go before I get mine (I'm screaming inside - ha ha ha), but that's how things work out here.

I looked at the link and I noticed that the Independence II is out to sea.

Another thing, my car was waiting for carrier and the lounge said it was scheduled for production so don't believe a word that it says. ASK MINI is pretty accurate.

hey Kimini03 do you have the call sign for the Emden? If so go to the website that I've been using for the Elektra and see if you can find your ship. I can see several of other ships and I can't believe they are all WW ships.

 

Emden will be in Charleston on the 7th and Baltimore on the 9th if this chart is correct.

Drug induced coma...why didn't I think of that?

I may not sleep tonight. The Elektra is scheduled to dock in Halifax at 3:18 tomorrow morning (i.e. TONIGHT!) And all that coffee I drank today isn't going to help either. I wonder if the Halifax Harbour web-cams have night vision?

So I call my MA today, and he says he still has no info on Lady G leaving port. *insert pouty face here*

If she was done on 5/28, shouldn't she be on a ship by now? In looking at the schedule, the next ship due to Charleston is the Patriot, and that leaves Southampton 6/6 and arrives in Charleston Jun 21st.

Not meaning to sound ungrateful, as my production was bumped up three weeks early, but gawwwwwwwwwwwd that is bloody painful!

Is anyone confirmed on Carribean Highway? That left on Saturday, and I am wondering if maybe they just haven't updated it yet? (humor me, here, I am grasping for straws! LOL!)

 

I tried for the Emden, but the last track was May 07 at noon. That was a awhile ago, so I can't actually see where it is. However I did get the independence II for those who are on that. I guess its about halfway right now. I didn't remove the other ships from the picture, but if you look you'll see the name of the Independence II there.

The Elektra still looked far out, I can't believe it gets in early tomorrow morning!!!!! That's so great!

 

My car was also completed on 5/28 and has yet to appear on the WW auto cargo list (I check the VIN daily). I'm hoping for the Patriot and will also be coming in through Charleston.

 

That happened to me and when I called ASK MINI they were clueless. All they could tell me is my car was "waiting for a carrier". I asked "what did that mean?" "Sorry sir we don't know" Then one day, all of a sudden, it was on a transport and getting loaded onto the Elektra.

 

I don't remember if this was mentioned, but for those on Elektra, it is arriving the 3rd in halifax, then the 5th in new york, then the 7th in baltimore, and it is scheduled for the 10th in Brunswick.

ooh, and the independence II will arrive in charleston on 14th, and brunswick on the 16th.

 

Even now, when I know my Clubman is 1/3 of the way here, the MINI OL site still shows it awaiting transport. Before I left on vacation, ASK-MINI reiterated that my car was to be scheduled to be completed on the 27th. The VIN showed up on the W&W site, which shows it was loaded on the vessel on the 30th. As a result, I haven't bothered to call ASK-MINI. Since all I can do is guess, I'm thinking the most likely reason for the delays folks have been experiencing has to do with the logistics of scheduling shipments to line up with final vehicle destination.
