I know how to track once we have a ship... how are you locating the next departures? I'm off to Port Hueneme VDC.

How are you tracking your ship? The AIS live free site is gone and I am waiting for them to approve my 2 week trial...

Well I dug around on the WW website. Looks like the next ship coming from Southampton to Port H leaves on June 5 and gets to California on June 25. The a few days in the port... a while to truck it from LA to CO... a couple of days at the Dealer... So, assuming that's our ship I can optimistically look for July 4 weekend.

It's a long wait when you have to come through the Canal!

I don't know if that is a ship for the MINIs, but it is the next WW ship coming from Southampton to Port H. I'll call ASK-MINI tomorrow for an update...

I think I am going to Charleston. On the Vehicle Inquiry Report I got from my MA, it says port locatoin. CHSPOA, which I found on another thread was the the Charleston Port. I do not know if all Chicago cars go there. I ordered mine from Bill Jacobs.

+1. My tracking info shows that our mini was loaded at 1552 and that the Elektra has already departed port.

Our MINI's are truely traveling happily together, our port is also CHSPOA! Which I would have had no clue what that meant until I read your post about it being Charleston!!!

I called ASK MINI today and it still said Awaiting a Shipping Vessel, so I spoke with a customer service rep.............and she said that it Left the Port today!!!!!! Yeah........I'm sure your MINI is probably on there also since they like to travel together!! You are in IL and we are in OH so we are practically neighbors!!

I was really excited, but kind of bummed because she said she has no other info like shipping company ect..............I keep checking W&W and nothing still I was really wanting to track it step by step..........Keep me updated on what info you get!!

Hopefully we will know more soon!

Hey there, Congrats, sounds like you are just a couple of weeks away from having your new MINI! Just wondering how long it took for your info to show up on the shippers site??

Did they tell you what ship your mini was on? Mine's on the Elektra, but it's not going to Charleston (the preferred choice right now.... ) it's going to Brunswick.

I called ASKMINI after reading your post and they just said it was at the port and that they could not tell me more. I think you got a nicer rep than I did, so I emailed my MA and he said it was on a boat! It must be on a K-Line boat, which I do not think we can track, but at least it sounds like I will have the car before July 4th when I have planned a short road trip

Boreboy, do you have your vin? If so go here =>

The Wallenius Wihlmsen site (WW),
http://schedule.2wglobal.com/AppTracking/cargoTrack.do , Go here and click on 'Auto Cargo'. Put your VIN in the 'Cargo ID' box. If nothing shows up wait a few hours and try again. Mine took 24 hours from when they said it had left the factory. Once it shows up, you will know the ship, booking and voyage numbers. The voyage details will tell you when and where this ship is going. The bill of lading number will let you see which VIN's are on the ship with you. you may have to scroll down many pages to find yours.

this worked for me and it told me the ship that my mini was on. Sorry if this info is redundant.

Unfortunately the Elektra's last report in to update her position is 11 days ago on the tracking site. She shows still north of South Hampton...lol.

Hopefully we will see an update which will be fun and break up the long two week wait.

Thanks Joe. I had tried that, but unfortunately that only works if your car is on a W&W boat. They also use K-Line ships which you can't really track. I hope yours arrives soon.

I checked the K-Line web site and there is a ship called Emden which left yesterday. It's due in Charleston on June 7th. I confirmed that on the Port of Charleston site. I f we can get Bill of Lading numbers we may be able to find out for sure and possibly track it. I am going to email my MA to see if he has it.

I must admit that I was totally and completely unaware that there were two different ship lines coming to the states.

For those of you who have their car on the ELEKTRA as of this morning at 6am it is at N 49°30', W 015°24'. From what I can tell. My wife tells me to be patient but that's impossible right now...

Just got word from 866-ASK-MINI that our car left port yesterday, 5/28. Since W&W has nothing for my VIN, I assume I am on K-Line as well. Keep us updated if you're able to track it.

Thanks
