Week 21 Support group
Just got off the phone with Ask MINI and was told my Clubman started production yesterday, and was given the golden VIN #. What a relief!! Now I can go buy those things I've been putting off.
My MA had told me i was part of the week 21 crew. But it seems he was wrong, since my mini is awaiting transport and might even been boarded on a ship as we speak.. So sorry to disappoint you all..
But we will all be enjoying our new ladies soon...

Moved two weeks earlier!
Hello all,
I was in the Week 23 group and called today for my weekly fix, oops I mean weekly status update. Imagine my surprise when the nice fellow at ASK-MINI told me that my MINI was born today! Yee-haw! So, add me to the Week 21 group.

You guys go by the start or end of production for the production week? I was told week 22, but they started my build today....
Wow.. looks like it takes the Clubman a lot longer to get rolling than the R56 (of course it may also be due to dealer allocation)...

While my Clubman started production 5/18, it was at least 48 hours before the information showed up OL. Just seeing on-screen confirmation of what I'd heard from ASK-MINI was a welcome relief.
So now, the list of pre-purchased goodies is growing! So far, I've nabbed a Garmin nuvi 200w, a Kuda GPS mount, hardwire for the GPS, Craven STDs, Craven stubby antenna, protective film for behind the door handles, and Black Wow! for the plastic exterior trim. Wonder what else I can buy??

Where do you get the protective film for behind the door handles?
I'm in week 22. When I call Mini they just tell me that production started yesterday. They don't have any additional info. Are you guys calling your MA to get the details? Or just presuming? Or.... ?
Thx.
Thx.
I found it at: http://www.minspeed.net/ADC.htm
I also grabbed the rubber inserts for the console. They're form fitting so they won't slip out of place, and they have flat nubby surfaces to place things in.
They are here: http://www.minspeed.net/R56CR.htm
Quick shipment and reasonable prices!

Ordered a British Racing Green Clubman (non-S) on Saturday, 5/17.
My dealer only seems to sell S's, so I went to the head of the just-a-Cooper line. (Midwestern Mini, Columbus, Ohio.)
Sunday - miniusa still shows my prod. no. as the silver Clubman spec'd by the dealer
Monday - prod. no. updated with my color and options
Tuesday - VIN posted, listing changes to in production.
Wednesday - called askmini, and found out my scheduled completion date is the 24th.
My port is Charleston.

Greetings all- I started in week 22 but found out that my production began yesterday, with scheduled completion by 5/30. I now have a VIN and can begin to envision my MCS as a "real" car. Time to come up with a name
I'm anxiously (in and OCD kind of way) awaiting any details on the status of my Clubman, and resisting the urge to call ASK-MINI on a daily basis. I'm sure the people who answer the phone there probably get lots of calls from similarly afflicted buyers, and don't want to appear to be too much of a pest. The girl I spoke to yesterday was not particularly helpful, and kind of gave me the feeling she was annoyed I was looking for information - unlike anyone else I've spoken with. Needless to say, I called today but didn't talk to a live person, and found that my anticipated completion date moved up from 5/29 to 5/27. Yay! That being said, I will talk to "customer relations" tomorrow as I leave early Saturday morning for a week in Cancun and will be incommunicado (unless my darling wife brings her MacBook!). It's looking more and more like I'll see the Clubman by mid-June. I'm so very ready!!
Anyone else notice themselves hanging around the automotive sections at Target and Costco and ______ looking for cleaning supplies for the first time in years?
Looks like I'm moving from week 23 to week 21!
We ordered Wellington back in mid April and a couple of weeks later found out he would be born in week 23 (June 2). I checked with ASK MINI today for my fix, and they said that production began on the 20th and we're awaiting body panels!!!
Of course there is still the long wait to get from England to Colorado, but at least we have movement!

Hi SPF ZERO! We started out in week 23 together and now we're lucky enough to be moved up to week 21!
About status updates: I called today and went through the automated menu and it gives an estimated completion date of 5/28. The last couple of days I've called for a representative and got a very nice fellow named Adam -- got the same guy all 3 times (he even remembered me!). He's very nice and says to call as often as you want.

Ok, now I know the neurosis is running deeper than I'd anticipated.
After calling ASK-MINI earlier today and hearing the "in production" words from the automated system along with the estimated finish date, I immediately went online to read more on this forum. Work? Who can work?... On top of everything, I'm leaving for a week long vacation Saturday and won't have access to the internet unless I pay an access fee to the resort (ok, I probably will, but that's beside the point!). Where the neurosis took over was when I realized I had picked up the phone, selected ASK-MINI from the contact list (no, it's not on speed/voice dial -yet!!), and was speaking to a very nice, very helpful woman. She said my Clubman was in the body shop now, being fabricated. Further conversation revealed once that process has begun, it usually takes 3-4 days to complete a MINI.
Based on that, I asked if it was possible my Clubman might complete a few days ahead of the 5/27 date? She conceded that point, but said she could not say for certain, which I understood completely.
Needless to say, I'm hoping it finishes earlier than the estimate and catches the earliest boat out of there to the USA!

Hi everyone! Sorry, I'm a bit late to the party...have I missed anything good?
Just found out from the dealer today that my Clubman is a Week 21 build and that it's on it's way to the port of exit. Talk about turn-around! Placed my ordered May 10th, got the VIN May 15th and now I'm told it should arrive sometime mid-June. I only hope that my wife can put up with me until then. I think my MINI obsession is driving her nuts.

I really envy all of you that ordered and went into production so quickly. It took me a full month to go into production. Wonder if my dealer is selling allocations or passing them to more preferred customers or.....
Of course I ordered a Clubman so that can explain it too....
