Quote: Well, as a member of the week 21/22/23 Club I'm with you all in waiting for Wellington to come home. While I wait, I took a shot at collecting all the ship departures from Southampton to North American ports over the next month. Note that I don't know if these ships will carry our MINIs, just these are the W/W and K-Line departures on their schedules out of Southampton. Info was pulled as of May 28.

I posted this info in week 22 and week 23 - and have gotten hit up to put it in 21. Sorry for the cross post, but it was requested!

Question. I have my VIN, but it's only 2 letters and 5 digits.

That's a pretty short VIN number. It that right?

I think that all the current MINI vin's begin with WMWRH33528... then you probably have TU-----

Hey Lady G... go into the Owner's lounge on miniusa.com. Select track your car and when you are where it shows your vehicle's progress go to the top of the screen and select view. then select source. This will bring up a new screen. Go to the bottom of this screen and you will see something like this:

<PARAM NAME=movie VALUE="OrderTrackingMINI-hardtop.swf?newVehicle=2008+Pepper+White

scroll to the right of that and you will see your prodnum and vin... it will look like this:

DateDate=&ProdNum=0000000&Vin=WMWMM33508TP12345

This is an example. I hope this helps. if not drop me a line...

Lady G- would hope you're not still hanging around the docks in Southampton . Chances are you're on a K-Line ship headed to Charleston, SC or Brunswick, GA. You may almost be there and not even know it!

Ohhh so there's another line? Can we track that K-Line?

I'll be coming in to Charleston for sure, but she was just completed on Wednesday, so I know she can't be too far from port!

If you can get the name of your ship from the call mini line, you can check the shipping schedule of the Kline site. They don't let us have too much info on the Kline ships. I think that your baby might be on either the Emden or the Caribbean Highway ship. At least I'm assuming that your Mini is already seabound.

Check out http://www.kline.com/ It looks like the Emden has been sailing since the 27th and the Caribbean Highway will depart on the 31st.

Quote: Excellent.... I know mine is going to stay in Brunswick a few extra days - they are going to install the driving lights and sport stripe on my car. Larry said that it was cheaper to have it done there then at the dealership.

How did you know about having stuff done at the port and how did you contact them, ect??

When I ordered my car, I had a few things that were going to be installed at the dealership and my MA commented that it would be faster and cheaper if it was done at the port. So I agreed to it.

Love the emoticon!! Can totally relate!! I had been checking W&W for days until boredboy helped me out and let me know about the K-Line! Still wish it was on the other line so we could track it, but glad to know it has been shipped. Our's was built on 5/21 and shipped 5/28 don't know if that is the norm or not. Hopefully you will know something soon!!!

Independence II
I've been away for a week, but did manage to get online long enough to get all the good info! Armed with the VIN, I hit the W&W site. I was on my best behavior, and managed to wait until the day my MINI was promised for completion before breaking away to check online. Believe me, it was no easy task to wait that long!

Anyway, I entered the VIN and found the Cargo Status History, clicked on the Voyage #, which led me to the Voyage details. My S Clubman is aboard the Independence II, due in NY June 8. My MA said it only takes a few days at most once it's there to get to Hartford, CT. Still, I"ll track it on http://www.sailwx.info

Hey, our MINIs are hanging at the pool together, enjoying the relaxing sail across the pond From NYC to Baltimore shouldn't take too long either, barring any boo-boos in transit
