Thanks Seattle. I appreciate your advice and even if this isn't entirely the dealers fault, they really should do something. My MA IS the sales manager.... no I haven't spoken to the GM.
The whole thing is just upseting as this was my first car (new) buying experience and from a dealer peroid. It just isn't going as "planned" but everything happens for a reason. Everything will work out I am sure, and no, I won't be quiet.

Suggest/tell/demand to your dealer that since it's MINIs fault they need to work with them to GIVE you the 6 yr/100k miles Maintenance coverage. (should add to resale value even if you're not planning to keep it that long, as I understand it's tranferable). That way MINI shares in the expense (this of course AFTER they have your baby flat-bedded to the dealership ASAP!)

Well it really did happen... my car really was on the wrong boat and taken to the wrong port. Aparently my MA doesn't know how this happened but it was supposed to go to South Carolina not NJ and it has been sitting in NJ VDC for 10 days= the wrong PORT- and no one noticed until my insecent calling to my MA each day when he finally realized something was up - now I have to wait to hear back on how they are going to get it from NJ to Ohio. I can't see a truck taking ONE car all the way. MA knows I am upset. I am now crying over my first new car experience instead of being excited. Very frustrating. Now I don't have a ride 3 hours to Ohio since my parents had offered to take me but they leave Wed. (I was originally supposed to have my car by now) and am missing out on the big 4th July family vacation because I don't have it yet. Sorry but I needed to vent. My MA said worst case senerio, he would have someone DRIVE it to me at home - but then it kind of defeats the new car experience as it would then have 300+ miles on it.
Still don't know when or how I am going to get it anyway.

Oh, i just got off the phone w/ my ins company, and they quoted me about a 1/3rd what im paying for my 14 yr old Acura now.
If i had lojack, they knock it down another $100 for the 6 months.

I've only posted one myself but I'm planning on getting some good pics later this week when we go to the beautiful mountains of NC. I'm gonna make good use of those pull-over spots that are all along the Blue Ridge Parkway and get some good shots of her with the great mountain views.

Dance.. Really sorry about your situation.
I suggest a couple things.
First, i would go the road of "YOU OWE ME", in the sense of free accessories and/or a major hook up with the warranty coverage.
2nd,
I agree for the ask for a loaner someone else posted.
lastly,
I say have them flat bed your car to the dealer. When I got the 330i, it was sitting at the port and I had the dealer intercept it going to a dealer out in ohio actually. So, the dealer paid for a flat bed transport to bring it down just for me.
So I KNOW they can transport it for you.
Stand your ground.

Sorry again to vent. Everything has gone smooth with my car until now. 6+ weeks is a long time to patiently wait to have your car "misplaced." I really am happy and enjoy hearing about everyone get their cars.
On the happy front for me Maggy IS HERE$# !! I can pick her up on Wednesday. Tomorrow I am sneaking out for a few hours to arrange to get the check and insurance binder. I am cancelling my docket for Wednesday afternoon. This week I have Thursday off and will be happily motoring with Maggy and my poodle!

It's ok, DanceForMINI! I'm sure they will get your baby to you soon! I certainly can understand your frustration. Hopefully you will be together soon.

I can't wait to see pics! It's like Maggy and Jack Jack are almost identical fraternal twins. I guess I should go take some better shots of JJ too. The two I posted weren't very good.

I can't wait to see pics! It's like Maggy and Jack Jack are almost identical fraternal twins. Over the weekend, I found some luggage in yellow from Red Oxx that will fit in the boot. Ordered 3 pieces as we are planning to drive to upstate New York for a long weekend in a couple of weeks. Now all I have to do is obsess over whether the luggage will arrive in time. LOL!

Wow, there are some troubling stories. I am sorry to hear about all of them. Cars being left at ports, taken to wrong places, MA's not responding to e-mails. No Bueno.
I got to meet GemGirl today and meet Nugget all shined up and wow, what a pair they make haha. You will all see photos soon i'm sure.

Weeeeeeeelllll, there we were, side by side, chknlil. I'm almost sure yours was next to mine just before we both cat-a-pulted out of the dealership. SPARKY is home now, and thank, you LIZ, I know you read this blog...you did a fine job as a MA. Appreciate you getting me a new armrest to replace my slightly nicked new one. OWG,, chknlil got out of the door before me, so he gets the next set of wings !
Man you go away for the weekend and come back to hours and hours of reading! Wow. I'm +1 for the W23 badge. My Rictus is all finished getting his alarm and spoiler put on and now I'm waiting for the damn check to clear from PenFed (could be another 8-10 days) Grr....
