I guess I'm part of this week 23 club too. Interestingly though, I emailed my MA yesterday to see when my car is "set in stone" because I am always thinking about changing colors etc. and was told that the car will hit production today??? Is that possible as my car is a JCW 09?
Any opinions are welcome.
Thanks

There has been some shuffling around of build dates, some folks shifting up a week or two, some dropping back. Have you called 866-ASK-MINI? Although your MA should have the best information, you can use the 866 number for confirmation.

If you really started production today you would be a week 21!

Edit: After looking at the Week 20 thread, I called the ASK-MINI folks and they told me that the production week was the week that it commenced production. Still as clear as a glass full of mud.

Does anyone's car show anything other than "on order" at the owners lounge?

Hey guys! I am joining you fine folks in the Week 23 group! Just found out "my week" today. Hope it doesn't get bumped back. Forward would be good I leave for vacation July 12th and want to have it before I leave! I was told by my MA that it would be 6-8 weeks to GET my Mini from the day that I ordered it (5-15) but from reading this thread it looks like that is not always correct. Anyway I know the week so that is exciting. Mine still says "On Order" but when I called AskMINI the guy said it was scheduled for production for Week 23. I ordered from Classic Mini in Ohio and am not sure which port it will arrive at- NY??? Anyone know?

After all my gnashing of teeth I just found out that I started production yesterday, putting me in week 21. I've concluded that you can't believe anything until you are actually in production. We'll see how it goes from here. Good luck to everyone

Okay, my turn to be happy!

I looked in the Owners' Lounge and saw that we have a VIN number and the status shows "Scheduled for Production." Thought I'd call MINI to ask if they have anything more... and they told me that our car "started production on the 20th and is in the body shop!!!" Looks like we must have gotten moved into week 21!

Spf zero... that's awesome! Does that mean you aren't production week 23 anymore? Lame we are losing everyone!

Random question....do you put insurance on the car when you get the vin or when it gets here?

So just curious. Had you previously called 866-ASK-MINI and been told Week 23, and now miraculously you're at week 21? Or had you been extemely patient (at least more patient than me!) and just relied on the info that your MA told you from your order date?

Reporting in, fellow week 23 hopefulls

OWG, thanks for taking roll call!! Much appreciated.

I called ASKMINI this morning, and am still scheduled for Week 23 although no firm date or VIN. 'Nate' who answered, got my office phone number off the caller ID and asked me if that number is my 'official' contact number. Not sure why he would want MY number, but, of course, I said CALL ME ANYTIME .

Good to hear about someone getting promoted to week 22 above.
Who knows why, maybe a cancellation...Anyway, NO Memorial day in England, right ?

week 22 shortened

I checked and AARRRrrrg! Week 22 might be a short work week in England if the Oxford plant takes the official British national holiday on May 26 (same day as our Memorial Day).

That is a good an explanation for the shuffling around of the production weeks as any I have heard.

I've logged in to the Owners' Lounge every few days to see if anything new is posted, and I call ASK MINI about once a week (my MA is not at all helpful or responsive). ASK MINI was where I got my original production date for week 23 (MA never told me). This morning the website said the the car was "Scheduled for Production" - so I called ASK MINI to see what exactly that means. The rep there said that the car entered production on the 20th and that body panel installation is next. I was so happy that i never asked when they thought production would be complete. I called back and went through the automated system which said that completion is planned for May 28.

I'm curious to see when/if my MA will call to give me the news.

That is simply AWESOME!

Let's hope that we ALL get such great news, and those Week 24 and 25'rs get bumped up to 23!

Everyone should stay optimistic. I've always been told that I was in week 23 and I called today and found out my car's in production and will be completed on the 29th. My MA said that they are really boosting production due to all the demand so maybe orders will continue to get pushed up...

I called MA and he said that car should be here by end of June even though production date is in week 23.

btw, it's Axela, not Alexa.
