ordered 5/10/08... but that shouldnt help you b/c it depends on the allocation of the dealer. some folks ordered 2 or 3 weeks before me and got week 23 allocation..

We ordered ours way back on April 11, and had to wait 2 weeks before our Dealer even had a production slot available.

 

Ordered May 4 from Irvine and was told today by customer relations that I'm scheduled for week 23. I assume it'll be delivered through Port Hueneme.

It's a Clubman S in Pepper White with body color roof and black pillars and Hot Chocolate leather.

Ordered 3/28. Did not get a Production Number until 4/30. How far behind is really a function of where you are on your Dealers wait list, and how many allocations they receive each month.

 

Ordered on 4/11, got production number on 5/1. Production number might have been assigned earlier than that, though -- 5/1 is the date I emailed my MA to ask if he had it yet and he replied with it.

Looks like the New York VDC better lay on some overtime!

 

Realized my worst nightmare yesterday!!! So a little background, I live in a small city (big, but small compared to Seattle) where people recognize distinct cars, MINI being one of them. I used to own a Pepper White Cooper S and everyone knew that was my car and I would get stopped at Starbucks and stores and all sorts of places for people wanting to look at a MINI -- star struck . Ok so then I had to get rid of the Cooper S and got a land rover, people don't care about me anymore as I kind of blend in now lol. On to the worst nightmare... Last week I was driving home and did a double take because there was a Pepper White, Black Roof, Mirrors and Bonnet Stripes, NON-S Clubman in the drive-through at Taco Time... My heart sank because I wanted to be the only one in my city with a Clubman (easy to do). Because we live off a major HWY people frequently stop to eat as it's the last stop with food on the way out of town so I thought they were probably just driving though and cool that I saw another clubman.... But it gets worst, I confirmed yesterday that they are indeed members of my community and are here to stay! I love that people love MINI but I really liked having such a unique car that it kind of sucks that it is the exact same color and such in such close quarters in my city. BUMMER! My Clubman will be an S and I will do the new style bonnet stripes instead but now I will definitely have to do some things to make mine look different! Anyways, thanks for letting me vent!

 

SeattleClubmanS - Call your MA - The car is not in production yet - Change the color! What was your second choice?

 

I don't have a second choice... I really like the Pepper White... Easy to keep clean, doesnt show swirl marks, classic looking, what was a rare color combo... I like Chili Red but there are a lot of those in Cooper S's around here... I just figured if I do the different bonnet stripes, custom rims, lower it, and stuff like that people will definitly be able to tell the difference. Hopefully... I'm crushed!

 

Gee, sorry you are so bummed. Look at it another way, it seems that your tastes are being validated and endorsed in a big way.

 

OK This is weird. I told my MA on the phone on Saturday 5/10/08 that I would buy the car since she said she would immediately - do I remember this right ? - reserve a slot on that day. I put my deposit down on Monday 5/12/08... if I have my facts correct, she guessed that I would see the car about July 4-ish. That's 8 weeks.

Indeed, there seems a difference in slot ownership from one dealership to the next. This particular dealer is a higher volume one, I'm thinking. Think I'll give the topic a rest for a few days. It certainly won't arrive any sooner if I don't !

 

I might add that I got a production number on 5/12/08, the day I 'ordered'

That would be consistent with the dealers having gotten the allocations in late April. When you go the the MINI Owners Lounge, do the details match your order? If the dealer reconfigured one that they ad orders for stock, it may take some time for your configuration to show up.

I have to admit that I am guessing as to your point of entry - what does your Vehicle Information Sheet say....

 

Finally updated my Sig with my full spec, loads, and I mean loads of aftermarket stuff planned too including a full leather/alcantara custom interior and M7 Super AGS CAI, M7 Stealth FMIC to name just a few.
