Where do we see our VIN's? Is it in the OL and im just not seeing it? I haven't looked very close but just curious...

Yes, you should see it by clicking on "Review Order Details" after going through the Track my Mini link. It should be there if the OL shows you as Scheduled for Production. If not, then ASK-MINI or your MA can tell you the VIN.

 

No VIN yet. Oh how I would love to have a peek inside BMW's ERP to see how this coming together.

 

Hi – I am new here and very excited about my first MC, originally it was for the wife, but it has overtaken me. I place my order 5/13 at Morristown MINI in NJ, great to deal with. I ordered a MINI S Convert Sidewalk with Nav, Cold and Conv package.

Just got off the phone with ASK-MINI and was told it went into production today. It should be done by next Tuesday, not sure what week that me week 22 or 23 and hope to take delivery by month end.

Anyway found this site to be very informative, helpful and wanted to say thanks…

I was able to get my colour changed :-) Now it will be Laser Blue/White roof and stripes.

I introduced someone to NAM today also.

Seems like everybody's production date is moving up except mine! ARGH!

yes but we're both going to be on the same boat anyway and come into NYC so in reality it doesn't matter.

 

called AskMINI this morning, and Nugget was also born this morning!! woo hoo!!!
but they are still giving me the delivery date of mid July?? I don't care - Nugget was born!!!

 

I called ASK-MINI and spoke to "Sunny" (VERY nice guy by the way) I asked if I was moved up or if I was counting wrong since I am set to complete on June 2nd and he said that the build week is supposed to be the week your car starts not the week it is completed... He said I was definitly moved up since it's week 21 (sorry your stuck with me, I feel bonded and can't leave my support group).

Here is the breakdown he gave me:

-Born 5/23
-Completed June 2nd
-1 week at/to Port
-21 days at sea to get to California (Port Hueneme)
-1 week at the VPC (Vehicle Production Center)
-And then however long it takes it to get from Cali to NW MINI. I mapquest'ed it and it is apx 1112 miles away, but if driving non-stop with no traffic (yeah right) then it would only be a 17 hour drive...
-Est delivery hopefully the week of July 7th

I will email my MA and see what they usually expect with the delivery time from Cali. I've read a lot about the ship stuff and how MINI's miss thier ships - I hope that doesnt happen!!! Now I need to decide if I have stuff done to it BEFORE I pick it up or if I enjoy it for a few weeks and then drop it back off for round one of alterations... (dealer is having the windows tinted for me, sport stripes applied, aftermarket wheels, exhaust, etc)

Nothing too major but I just called ASK-MINI and I've gone from 'On Order' to 'Scheduled For Production'!!!!!

Now if you'll excuse me while I do a one man conga around my living room.

i'm with you there, ordered 5/10, no production as of this morning, i am going to call again now though.

nope still scheduled for some time within the 2nd to the 8th. Week 23 for the win.

 

Congratulations - Per ASK-MINI I am slipping towards week 24. Not happy.

 

Same here. They told me to call at the beginning of next week and more detailed info would be available. Until then, week 23 is all the info I've got.

That's what the automated thing told you? I've never actually spoken to a real liver person, should I be or will they just tell me the same info that I get from the automated system?
