I may have been out motoring but I've not abandoned the thread! To prove I'm still with you, attached is my rough go at a badge.

I've had my MINI for 10 days now, I've already gone and completed some of the really simple aesthetic mods: blue LED light replacement, airbag stickers, and stubby antenna. I'm at 584 miles and still on my 2nd tank of gas, woo hoo! It did cost me $54 to fill up the other day though I got my plates via FedEx yesterday and ordered my vanity plates last night: SIZMTRS

 

Well, the rough go badge looks pretty smooth, zoner ! and the plate is a hoot!

Refdiver, I -really- like the classy black/white exterior! Reminds me of several side-of-the-road conversations with an officer

Another call to MA- still hasn't heard word and "If it doesn't get on a truck today you probably won't get it by the 4th." He said again "I'll call as soon as I hear" I said "Call me today even if you don't hear from the port." I made it clear that I am not happy with the situation, or his "worst case senerio" to drive the car to me and said that they need to do something else- SOON and mentioned that I have family, coworkers and "members on the NAM forum" waiting to hear their response. .... we'll see!

 

BTW, I figure, since I requested he call me today either way and he said he would, if I DON'T hear from him today I am calling and asking for the GM tomorrow.

 

On another note, someone gave me a big box of baklavah today - yummm! That helps ease my tension a bit.

 

In my opinion, that time has come and gone already. If I were you, I would call ASK MINI -today- and start complaining. Clearly your dealer needs some "assistance" from the national level

 

Oh wow I've just read your predicament now Dance~ and I'm sorry to hear that!! Imagine that they wouldn't have known it happened if it weren't for your constant calls?? The others are right, I would suggest that you demand they rent a truck to carry it back to the dealership, I'm puuurty sure they have all the means and money to do it!

You should've had your baby by this time!!

Oliver got here this am! He's getting cleaned up and his windows tinted, and we'll pick him up on the way home tomorrow. Three day motoring weekend here I come. Get my wings ready!

Love the badge! Im getting a vanity plate too. It has multiple meanings and you would get a single one until you see my car! hahaha

I would have called the GM already. Make sure they know that you know A LOT of people and can inform them about how horrible your experience was. And also that if you get any kind of survey, you will be giving them very low marks. They better get a truck to bring your car!

 

Yep! Not sure which one exactly but at least she's moving now! My MA told me i still ahve 2-3 weeks before I'll have her. From the day I ordered, it's been 9 weeks this coming monday. Waaayyyy too long to wait!

zonedguy- thank YOU for your suggestion to call Ask MINI- I just did and aksed to speak to a manager and explained my situation (not to a manager but the customer service woman whose name I failed to catch) and she seemed very concerned about the whole thing and said there is actually a thrid US port on East Coast opening and didn't know if that was where things went ary but she is going to look into and and get me an answer of what is going on and get back with me either later today or tomorrow and said if needed, she will get their reginal manager involved.... glad to know someone is taking this seriously. I also said that I wasn't trying to get the dealer or my MA in trouble, I have been happy up until this point but I just want my car! She said she understood. I feel better already. Guess the guys on the other end of the line do more than tell us the build status of the car 20 times a day
