Just got an update the my ship is definitly at port and unloading!! It might take until Monday for the WW site to show me as offloaded due to everything being processed (according to "Dude, Where's My Car" who kindly called the port for us!)

 

Congrats! The waiting only gets worse!!!

 

Trust me I know! lol The KIA I am borrowing while waiting for my MINI broke down on the highway this morning!!!!! That has NEVER happened to me! Needless to say I was balling my eyes out trying to call my mom to help me! lol My hubby was 2 hours away so he couldnt help! NOT FUN! I really can't wait for my MINI!!!

 

Just heard from my MA who said I should be able to pick Maggy up next week!! Not sure of arrival date or anything yet, just an email confirming that she will be in my loving hands before July 4th!! YAHOO!!

 

My MA called today as well.. maybe by Monday I'll be a proud MINI owner! (but I doubt it, as the vehicle is being offloaded from the RIGOLETTO today.. but I can dream!)

 

WTF? I still haven't heard from my MA about why my MINI has been sitting at VDC for a week.... no work is being done to it there and I know they are closed during the weekend so that means I might not even get on a truck until Monday? Sucky!

 

Seattle- that is too bad about the KIA! Wow. I would have cried too. Good news is Dutchess is on her way!

 

My MA confirmed my Mini is at the VDC. She says it could be as late as July 3rd before it heads to the dealership, or it could be in their hands as early as late next week. Being 200+ miles from the dealership means I have to wait until July 12 to pick it up. But it also means 200+ miles of motoring to get it home.

 

Im super super jealous!! hahaha Have fun in your car...

To the dealer, at least! MA emailed me that the ETA to the dealer is July 1. Barring any delays, should pick him up the afternoon of July 2 or morning of July 3! WooHoo!

That will BEAT my expectation/drop-dead date of July 5 by at least two days!

 

My MA says my Factory JCW is sitting in Charleston. Other 2008 MCS for this dealership on the Western Highway were already released for shipping. This lends creedence to the rumor that new factory JCWs are being held at the VDC until July 7th for the official JCW market debut on July 14th.

I have a 09 JCW also sitting at the VDC. I do happen to live about 20 minutes away from the port so if you wanna come down and carnap, I am game!

 

Altoid is sat outside getting soaked right now.... sweet. I'm planning on washing him tomorrow, I need to wax my wheels.

 

Yup, fortunately, i've never had to sit in the backseat of my own integra, but i've sat the in the back of a friends, and both ours are lowered, so when you go over some bumps or dips, you get a real good knock.

Yeah, i really dont plan on taking too many passengers, one co-pilot and some luggage is all i really want in the car.

 

and to think, i missed Rigoletto by a day. Oh well, i'd be on vacation most of next week anyways and im not taking her on a 700 mile trip w/o a clear bra.

Sorry to hear about the kia. You're okay, and that's most of what matters.
