Waldo is scheduled to hit the shores of St Louis on Sunday! Having the sunroof tinted at the dealer, the blackjack side scuttle installed (had never heard of it before ordering, but c'mon, I had to have it...see my screen name!) then scheduled to pick him up Wednesday afternoon! 7 weeks to the day after ordering!

Told the dealer NOT to wax it! I have $125 worth of Detailer's Paradise products awaiting his arrival!

Get those wings ready, he should be in my drive LATE Wednesday night! (3 hour drive from dealer normally, but I have a feeling I'll take the "scenic route"!

 

So......

I couldnt stand the wait any longer.

Went to the Dealer this morning and took some pictures of it before it got processed and all shined up.

Did the paperwork and she is ALLL MINE!

I had the option to take it home and bring it back monday evening for them to do the JCW suspension or leave it at the dealer.

I chose to leave it there in hopes that it would get completed sooner.

So I am the proud owner of my MINI, just no motoring until tuesday night at the earliest.

This is assuming monday nights crew can do the suspension, if not then it will be done tuesday night..

OWG, do I get my wings since i paid for it??? I have the owners manual, and one of the keys.

Just noticed you are missing your tow hook covers on the bumpers.

rich, it got off the truck last night, so it still has the protective pieces on it.

I believe the tow hook covers were in the boot with some of the other pieces..

The piece on the door is so that it doesnt get scratched.

It hat 1.5 miles on it. wahooo..

I got to start it up and crawl around on the inside.

It's a beauty! Mine is still at the VDC unitil 7/7 (rumor). It's a two day haul to Bloomington, MN where my dealer is located. I don't know how picky they'll be about letting me get my grubs on it ASAP.

Sold my Alero today, I was sad to see it go but the girl was really sweet and I hope it treats her as well as it did me and vice versa.

As soon as she drove away I called my MA, he said my car is still "sitting at port" this being day 8 at VDC now and said sometimes they are picked up in three days, sometimes ten, you just never know. I'm irritated though because now I am out of a car at the moment and driving my dad's truck- although thankful that I have it to drive! He DID say though that the NY VDC is OPEN this weekend (I asked since I heard they closed on weekends) and he said open this weekend becuase of the holiday next week so.... hope mine gets on a truck in the next day or so.

Woo Hoo! He's HERE!! FINALLY!!

We went on vacation to Manhattan - saw ONE MINI there; a Sparkling Silver one, parked on the street on the edge of Soho & Greenwich Village. We then were more anxious than ever to get our car...

We got home this week and found out that he had been on the Sierra Nevada Highway, was way-laid in Charleston for a while but he got to the Cincinnati dealer in time for us to pick him up today. I'm so excited I can't stand it!! We've been calling him Mr. Sparkle; turns out now that he is comfortable with us being his parents, he prefers to be called "Newton" - John Cooper's middle name.

He's a Sparkling Silver Clubbie with a black roof, black bonnet stripes and checkered mirrors - we couldn't be more proud!!

 

I picked up my MINI today!!

The car is awesome. I am absolutely in love!! seriously its so much fun to drive!!

does that mean i get #7??
