Week 23 2008 Support Group
i would start demanding answers this is getting rediculous. Your car hasn't even left England yet as far as you know and it has been done for weeks.
Still at VDC.... almost a week and they're not even doign anything to my car there!!!! I think this has been the most anxious part of the wait for me, we're so close!!!
good luck to chap and greg!
no word on my MINI yet.. price to pay to get all the JCW stuff put on i guess..
I hope i will have news of getting on a truck..but i have no idea right now!
the "for hire" comment made me

DChap.... got the referance Starry- I think we're all thinking yours must be on a KLine. Maybe call the dealership, don't ask for your MA, ask to speak to a manager directly and if one isn't available and they ask why you are calling, just say you would rather speak directly to the manager and either say you'll call back or leave a number to call you back at, no message. Sometimes you just have to be forcefull and rude to get some answers. Really though, you've been waiting as long as everyone else and still don't even know if it's on the ship yet?
Starry, the other thing to remember is that Mini does not make ANY money until the car is in your hands. The company can't afford to sit on a sale. The car is problably on its way across the pond and maybe already here!
That's okay spidrz, last night I was going through some DVD's and pulled out "American Tale" and jokingly started singing the song to my boyfriend, all night I couldn't get "somewhere- out there..... beneath the pale mooooon liiiight...." out of my head....

I know! That's why I figured it'd be here already! It's not like my car is basic with noe options ya know?! haha i figured i'd be one of those whose car was built and in their hands in 4 or 5 weeks. But from the day I ordered it's been almost 7 weeks.
Good morning Gang!!
No. I did not wake up just now. And yes, I'm way too late for the greetings, but hey, I just got home from work and logged on right away just so I could say "hello".. so "hello!".
Looks like I have 3pages of posts to read so here I go..!

fugees redid it in the 90's...Pretty good remake... I actually have the 70's version stuck in my head.. Did you know it was written about Don McLean? His best known song is American Pie....LOVE that song...
I only know the Robert Flack version.
I just listened to the remake on the itunes store and i think its crappier haha
Heads-Up on the Carpet Floormats
Hey all
I have carpet floormats instead of the rubber ones. Ever since I took delivery, the driver's mat has been riding up under the pedals. Last night I looked on the underside of the mat and there are two velcro "loop" patches sewn there. I looked at the floor and there are two little plastic covers in the carpet which line up with the floormat patches.
Spoke to the Sales Mgr this morning and he told me that each set of carpet mats have velcro "hook" patches that fit in the holes in the floor and are supposed to keep the mat in place. For what ever reason, he said they usually throw them out instead of installing them. (?) So, mine are in the trash. He promised he would get me a set for my car asap.
So when you take delivery, check to see that the driver's mat is velcroed in place.
