Sneaker is in assembly right now! Next step is QA and he is DUN! I just hope that his ticket is punched for the Western Highway. Hard part is going to be that he is coming to Charleston. I live in Charleston...hmm...shall I carnap him when he hits the peir!

I just noticed that, under the Topic, "1st Gear", this thread currently ranks at #7 for the most posts. Further, the six threads ahead of us are mostly from delivery weeks in 2007 or 2006. Given the level of medication obviously needed by the participants in this thread, I have no doubt that we will eventually plant that flag.
Accordingly, we must persevere in our level of posting so that may achieve our goal and establish our rightful place in annals of 1st Geardom MINItopia!
That is......(Cue the horns)...... THE GREATEST THREAD IN ALL THE WORLD.
BTW, I have decided to call my Clubman "MINI POOPER".

So now that the MINIs arrivals are steadily approaching... how far is everyone going to get theirs? There is only one dealerhip in MI but I didn't order from them, went from Classic Mini in Ohio and it's a 3 hour drive each way, what about everyone else??? Everyone who has a close dealer is fortunate, it won't be a bad drive back to MI IN my Mini but not looking forward to the cruise to get it. Of course, I'll be psyched so hopefully it will be fun!

Happy to be sharing my excitement with another parent-to-be! Jack Jack will miss out on the whole Panama Canal experience, but I think he'll recover.

Just wanted to say congrats to everyone who is on a ship! The rest of us are jealous but our turn is coming! So when am I supposed to call my insurance company to get insurance put on- the day I pick it up???

When I got my last car, I called while sitting at the dealers while signing the paperwork, and started the coverage right then.... So I called my insurance recently (for policy merging with the hubby) and they told me, day before pick up, or even the day of was fine.

I left the stickies off the list since you can never catch them. They stay on top when you click the "replies" button no matter what.
And we like our OCDness. (We've certainly thought about it.)

OWG I have another update for you!
Allow me to introduce Scooter, my Chili Red and Black MCS who has hopefully made friends with the other Minis born on 6/3, waiting at the port in Southampton. Scooter is also coming into Charleston and has the same status as many of your's on Ask Mini - At Southampton waiting for a ship. No details on WW. The wait and lack of info has been tough but I'm hopeful that the Western Highway has their reservation since the next opportunity won't be until 6/21. Scooter's coming home to Houston, TX, were he'll be moving into the slot that's currently occupied by an as yet unnamed Toyota Tacoma.

Congratz to everyone who made it aboard and to those who've just completed or about to complete their babies.
dang Volvo's taking too long to load.. i watched it leave port 3 hours late and spent an extra 45 minutes waiting to clear the gates to the outer harbor. 
too bad i can't post here when im at work otherwise i would've told everyone about the extra 240 VINs that popped up on the WW site.
Yuko will be out at the back of the ship shooting trap if anyone needs her.
The voice gets more specific as your car is actually progressing through the body shop, paint shop, and final assembly. It's usually a day or two behind though, so talk to an actual person.
