I've been busy working to make the money that I will need to pay for my MINI, so I can take a couple of weeks off after delivery for the appropriate bonding time. This should count as maternity/paternity leave with the amount of anticipation I feel.

 

Finally found someone at ASK-MINI with a working system. My Mini has been released to the port for shipping. My VIN doesn't show up on the WW site, so I am assuming I am scheduled for a K-line ship. It's frustrating not being able to verify that.

 

keep trying. it can take a day before your VIN gets assigned to a ship.

I was just wondering, on the "dock schedule", the destination for Asian Chorus is New York. But when I checked my Voyage Details, it says Port of Destination is Port Hueneme, CA. Does this mean it stops in NYC first?

 

HA- Mine has had a VIN since before it was even built It was born 6/7/2008 and is still not assigned to a ship, I know there are other week 23-ers that were completed 6/3 and still not on a ship, I don't think there is really one correct answer for everyone, seems like this whole process is kind of unique for all of us- like our MINI's!

Also found out today the my mini is taking a field trip to see some big ships! Claytonl, which port are you sailing into?

We have the same 08 MC PW/PW order! Great choice! We have the same order, production dates as well! I had mine completed on the 6th [the original date they told me production would start, but as it turned out, my baby was born a week early] They were able to give me the VIn # on the 31st. I hope yours is already on-board!

 

My mini is supposed to arrive in the ship yard tomorrow. Hopefully it will be able to catch a ride to Charleston this week.

Yeah, if you look at the Voyage details it goes to NY on the 20th, and then Panama the 25th, then PORT HUENEME! But it looks like it arrives and departs on the same day in NY and Panama.... so not too much added time.

I saw Altoid over on the PATRIOT thread when I was snooping around over there. don't know how long it's been since he's been around, maybe he's just hungover from all of the free booze.

 

Raring to go and impatient as heck! Excited to the max, however.

 

I've seen some talk on other threads that some of us don't belong here. They area jealous because their week is not as lively.

My question is: What defines you as week 23?

I tend toward inclusion rather than exclusion. We all have the same goal after all!

 

I think it is supposed to be production start week, but who cares. And I'm not jealous.
