All Aboard the Fedora- Departing 18 June 2008

Did a search and didn't see a thread started yet so here goes. The wife's Mini 'Little Beep' now shows loaded on the Fedora, scheduled to depart today. Good news after missing the Asian Chorus last week. Who else?

Cheers

Jim

Didn't make it to London. Her mother found out and freaked. Said she was too young to be in the big city by herself, so she has been stuck playing hopscotch on the dock for the last week. How was the fishing trip?

We've actual stayed at the Arundel Arms and it is a wonderful respite. Maxwell liked it too, but he had some issues with sliding down the bank.

Tracked her leaving Southampton last night around 9pm Eastern Time, so I know she has left the dock and made it out of the Solent. Didn't see any ship reports for Fedora in the sailwx database so we may have to wait till she gets to Halifax for additional info.

OWG,

Glad to hear Maxwell had a good time. I'am sure he will have no problems with the bank once he grows into those new all season tires.

Cheers

Jim

AIS is VHF FM carried data stream - the tracking web sites use shore based stations to collect the data stream. So once out of sight of land you lose visibility.

OWG,

Checking the OL at 7:29 am on a Sunday morning.........you should really seek help for this. I on the other had being more under control didn't check until nearly 7:55 am.

The OL always seems to be at least a couple of days behind the automated system at ASK-MINI, which is a couple of days behind the humans at ask MINI.

Getting closer. Mini's for the 4th of July parade?

Cheers

Jim

As the Fedora approaches America I just notified the dealership that I'm not sure I want the car! Told em I should have ordered an MCS! The dealership sounded OK with that. I suspect they'll have zero trouble selling it. But it does mean another 6 week or longer wait.

Port of Halifax site says Fedora due in at 0618 tomorrow morning. Time to grab a little maple syrup from the duty free and then on their way to NY.

Getting closer........

Just looked back at the timing from when my car arrived in April. Ship docked in NY on Tuesday 22 April. Car arrived at the dealer in Annapolis too late on Friday 25 April to be prepped for delivery. No prepping on the weekend so it wasn't available for pickup until Monday 28 April. Another car on the boat got picked up in Richmond on Saturday 26 April.

I still think it is possible we in the Washington Metro area my have them by the 4th.

FWIW
