Good morning all!
Something needs to be done about my Mini! I was up until 3 AM trying to fall asleep and had to get up at 6:30!

 

I have days of catching up to do.... here i go....

 

Wellington is gorgeous. I did not know that you can't put your windows down for 2 days because of tint. learn something new everyday.

 

DChap- you should go to a wheel repair place and have that fix properly so you don't do further damage!

 

I just talked to MINIUSA and the CSR that I talked to told me that he could not track my MINI beyond the Port in Great Brittan. So once the vehicles arrive at the VDC how is anyone getting any info beyond being off the ship. The waiting is getting worse. Is anyone contacting the VDCs for status or are all of you just more patient than I am?

Some people have called the VDCs, most do not. The folks at the VDCs really don't like providing us end customers with support. This is MINIUSA / BMW's job, not really theirs, so that is understandable. That being said, the information at the VDC end is spotty at best. Your MA has the best chance of giving you info at this point. So start leaning on them.

3000 and going strong! Well, those of us who aren't motoring at the moment...

Called my MA again, he was supposed to get in at 1 and has been with a customer ever since so since I am still not his first prioity I did the only thing I can do at the moment to try and find out when my car is going to get on a truck- asked for his manager. The guy seemed aware of the situation, took my number and said he would call me right back... we'll see. Still waiting for a call back from AskMINI too.

18 days at the wrong VDC now....

Mine was sitting on the dock too... hopefully it didn't get a sunburn.

 

hmmm... I could have sworn that I posted on Zonker being in. He was on the showroom floor last Thursday. I have put on 350 miles already. He is a Mellow Yellow S with the black stripes and a black/white checkered roof. I have some pictures (from the original post) at home... I'll drop em on tonight.

 

that is completly inappropriate. They need to rectify this and compensate you quite heavily.

We should all call Dances MA and bug them until they do something haha

 

Just got in from a week away from my computer. I knew we could bust the 3000 mark. I was called last Thursday letting me know my Mini is in! They said the striping would be done today, because of the holiday weekend. Since the dealership is over 200 miles away, I have to wait until Saturday to pick it up. I'm not going to be very productive at work this week.

 

Hmmm... looks like it's just most of us West Coasters Group aboard the Asian Chorus and the K-line are missing wings.

-and Port Hueneme is only 1hr 15mins from here! I'm guessing I'll be taking delivery if not tomorrow, probably a couple more days!

Nope, it means it left the VDC today en route to your dealership.

 

I highly doubt that? Why would the shipping company report on VDC status? Delivery should mean that it was delivered into BMW / MINI's possession at the VDC. It would also be surprising to clear the VDC in three days while including a national holiday. My status shows Delivery and Discharge on the same day:

I think they just did everything in batches. At least they didn't get left behind, and on their way to some japanese dealership.

Well, i'm hoping sometime this week if the backlog isn't bad. Hopefully cars like mine who dont need anything installed, except maybe software, get out the door first. If so, i may not be on at all this weekend.

 

We had today all planned as Wellington's grand debut... a nice long drive planned for lunchtime. And then it rained all morning (but we drove anyway). So, we're on to tomorrow as the day to get the top down!

 

I just got an email from my MA. He said my EDD is the 13th.

 

My status with WW also shows "Delivered from" on July 7. The WW tracking page also has this notice:
"This information includes the status, status dates, and location of cargoes during transit with WWL and does not indicate availability of cargoes for delivery."
My MA figures I will be getting the car early next week but he allows for an outside chance that it will be here at the end of this week.
