Gem by the way, whenever you go in to get Nugget serviced if you request a loaner car, make sure you ask specifically for a MINI. The Enterprise loaner cars are horrible and are giving Ottos Service a bad rep. I found out the hard way.

Did your Dealer forge your name? Not surprised if they did! That is so not cool ... Congrats on your baby!

Oliver's Home

Ladies and gentlemen, I give you Oliver. Somehow the 15 mile/20 minute drive home from the dealership went awry ... and I ended up home 2 hours and 88 miles later!

At the showroom

A quick photo op on the way home...

That BRG is total bad-***! The first pic I was wondering how you got the white rims w/ the black top but the second pic thankfully shows they're not white...did you swap the antenna at the dealership already? hehe

I picked up my MCS this morning. My MA at Knauz MINI (Lake Bluff, IL) was Dan Kuhn. He did a great job with the whole process from start of order to familiarization of the vehicle. I would defiantly recommend Dan and Knauz.

I got the factory aero kit and the wheel arches are now painted the same as the body color (British Racing Green on my car) as we all read on NAM and from other sources.

The "hill holder clutch" is a nice feature. It's almost too easy.

I am looking forward to getting this car on the track after the break-in period.

Hi all,
Good news from Europe!

I got the call today, July 4th!
Our Mini S should be delivered to Caserta, Italy (north of Naples) on JULY 11!
If there is any delay the next delivery would be July 21. We certainly hope there's no delay! So, you'll be getting photos of our girl soon. XOXOX

Can we impose on somebody-
We don't really have a Mini dealer- here in Italy (US mil.) we have a company called Pentagon car sales...needless to say, NOT a Mini dealer.

What are the Break-In Specs? We know of them, but dont KNOW them. Can someone please please post these. THANKS

Soooo sorry! That really sucks! I asked the hubby about possible fixes... he says it's a tough one, but you might want to try a solid epoxy (comes in rolls) to fix the fill in shape, then dremel/ sand it into the right shape and smooth, then maybe a little touch up color and it should blend.... oh and you should leave the original scratch rough, it will stick better....but if you already sanded it , it won't hurt anything... but it's not an easy fix
I hope that you can fix it! Good Luck!

yeah its not an easy fix, but I know how to do it. I am going to just leave it alone for a while, if i get another one on the wheel then i'll go for it.

Essentially you can fill it in with metal putty, sand it down, and then paint it and it will look like new. My younger bro and I are going to try it on the VW GTI that he just bought off of me. It is 5 years old, and every wheel is covered in curb rash due to the fact that my older bro can't drive. So if it works I will do it on mine.
