So I got the call that my car is in! I went to go look at it (I live 2 miles away) and it wasn't there since it's at the holding facility - what a letdown!....well it's gonna take a week or so to put in the alarm and get the spoiler put on at the body shop but I should have it soon! (so should we all!)

Yep, I signed my Bill of Sale from my F150 today as well. Now I can earn a little interest until Simon arrives next week.

I feel like I used to when I was a kid just before Christmas. I'll be glad when all the anxiety is over, but it's still alot of fun tracking everything and following everyone else's deliveries.

Now all of a sudden the OL is updated to reflect En Route!

More than likely on the Western Highway to arrive at Charleston VDC on Jun 26. That's a Sunday...do they work on Sundays? I know they'll unload, but do they process cars 7 days a week?

Then it has to get on a truck to St Louis...and that's the week of the 4th of July holiday. So I'm very doubtful it'd be in the dealer's hands and ready for me to pick up by July 5. I'm 200 miles from St Louis, and I'm tied up the following two weekends, so I'll have to try to find a friend to take off a day of work and drive me down to get it through the week! (any volunteers? )

So who all has been studying their user manual? I think I might wait and let my MA have the satisfaction of teaching me about all of the goodies lol.

If you go to the OL and click on 'YOUR MINI' at the top and then click on 'OWNERS MANUAL' you can view the 2007 owners manual as a .pdf. I'm pretty sure it's the same as the '08 right?

Was happy to see that the OL finally updated to show En Route since the Asian Chorus has already been headed here a few days. I'll start getting extra excited once it heads through the Panama Canal.

Hey fellow Mignon passengers
Looking at the Mignon details it seems that Savannah and Brunswick have changer order. My Mini (Jim) was coming to Brunswick on the 25th after leaving Savannah. Now it says Brunswick first on the 24th! Savannah on the 25th! Yippee, one less day to wait!
Or am I just imagining all this?

I just got listed as 'En route' on the OL, too. I guess I'm on the same boat. And June 26th is a Thursday on my calendar, so they will definitely unload that day.

Don't know the answer for Charleston, but per zonedguy:

My delivery date was moved up to Yesterday!

Ok, this is Strange.
(but the kind of Strange that I like!)

Yesterday, June 18, the Owner's Lounge update said my estimated delivery date was this Saturday, June 21st.
This morning, I checked it again and it now says my estimated delivery date was YESTERDAY, JUNE 18TH???!!!

NOW, THEY ARE LATE! And I won't stand for tardiness!
Should I demand more freebies????

Summary:
Ordered: Monday, May 26th
Build Start: Tuesday, May 27th (BIG KUDOS TO ANNAPOLIS MINI!!!)
Completed: Tuesday, June 3rd
At NYVDC: Saturday, June 14th
Actual Expected Delivery: Saturday, June 21st.

I am very happy with this process!!!!!!!

How long do our Minis languish at the VDC? Maggy comes in today on the SNH. Does anyone know if she will land at Charleston this morning?

Looks to me like SNH might be about 1 day late. ETA on the google tracking site is June 20th for Charleston. We shall see!

You sold an F150, I'm impressed ! Our local plant is cancelling the third F150 shift and having them build smaller vehicles instead.

One thing that is interesting is that the Port of Charleston site appears to be inaccurate. It still has Sierra arriving today, but Sierra ETA on the APRS site is 1am tomorrow.

What also appears inaccurate on the Port of Charleston site is that it has Fidelio stopping there, but APRS shows it going directly to Brunswick GA.

They must use MINI's tracking computer

I'm 22 hours away from Motoring and I basically can't contain myself. My productivity today is horrific. Be prepared, MINI fever peaks just before delivery!

Western Highway

Ok, I was trying to edit my original post to add a word I left out and it got away from me and created yet another post so I'm now editing THAT post so ya'll won't wonder why I just posted a message with one word "I".

Now I'm gonna go try to edit the post that originally needed editing.

Western Highway

I just got an email from my MA telling me that my Mini is on the Western Highway and due in to Charleston, SC on 6/26.

(whew! got it edited!)

Now don't get me wrong, I'm very happy to know that my car is finally on it's way to me but geez, as far as I can tell the Western Highway left Southampton last Friday and when I spoke to the MA earlier this week he claimed he didn't know anything and would let me know when he did. I only got the info from him this morning after emailing him twice, once early yesterday and then again this morning. I also told him in the last email that I didn't want any tag holders, stickers, decals, ANYTHING applied to my car, no holes drilled. No acknowledgement from him about that at all. :( I guess I'll be sending him a few more emails between now and the time I go get the car to impress that upon him.

I'll be so glad to be able to drive again. I sold my Jeep to my son a couple of days after I ordered the Mini and have been riding to work with Mr. Grumpy.
