I looked at the k-line site for the SNH schedule. The schedule was updated yesterday and said that the SNH was still scheduled to arrive in Charleston today and depart tomorrow. Let's hope.

BUT, rail and truck service has been disrupted to the Midwest due to the flooding. And even if you don't live in the Midwest, some cargo could start piling up at ports. It remains to be seen if Charleston or our Mini's are affected.

I found the same information on SNH. Hopefully, since we are in the upper midwest there won't be delays caused by flooding. I think most of that is in Illinois and west. If they land today, maybe I'll have my MY/W baby by next weekend!

 

How does APRS usually update? The SN Hwy is supposed to be in Charleston today, but the map still says it's near Baltimore.

It was an '05 King Ranch with some nice mods. I just priced it like a very clean Lariat. First person that came to see it took it. Probably could have gotten a little more for it, but I'm just happy to have moved it in this environment.

I wonder if they will process cars east of the flooding first to get them out of the way if indeed there is an issue with a back log of cars just sitting there. I am in Ohio and the MA said the ship should be docking in Charleston today. I wonder how long it takes to get the car to Ohio?? I was hoing for next weekend but probably not...anyone else from Ohio??

 

I'm not in Ohio, but near. Live south of Detroit. I hope that you are right and the PTB (Powers that Be) decide to move the vehicles they can to avoid overcrowding facilities near the port. I am still hoping for next weekend for my Maggy to arrive.

 

When do you pick up? Tonight? Tomorrow?

Not sure how Google-APRS updates. Think some ham radio operators pick up whatever signals there are from the ships and send feeds to the website. I've noticed that there are many position updates during the day.
Right now, Diablo is a few miles ahead of SNH heading out of the Chesapeake.
Having nit-picked whatever info is available for several days, I'd believe APRS before my MA, who seems to be tied to whatever and whenever the shipping company sends her.

 

I just tried getting through but am getting voicemail. I pressed no options hoping to be connected to an operator and I was just in an endless phone-tree loop. Did you do Import Services? Or Export Services? I tried both and got VM there as well.

 

OWG...you can move me to the Western Highway! Just talked to the sales manager (or are they "Motoring Managers") at the dealership and he confirmed that's the ship I'm on! WooHoo!

 

Mini will get the cars out that they can as fast as possible. Remember, the company makes $0 profit until the car is in your hands. Logic would dictate that if the company can get paid, they will as fast as possible! Anyway, those are my thoughts.
