FYI, I just called my MA and will be purchasing from out of state but I asked how long I will be at the dealership once it is available for pickup. We are getting as much paperwork done beforehand but I was told that it takes about 10 minutes to sign the paperwork and about 45 to have them go over everything on the car with us. Not bad at all- I was expecting it to be an all afternoon thing... then again this is my first dealership experience.

FYI StarryEyed, age, not that it matters, as we're all MINI lovers! I am 25.

And I'm the oldest at 58 years of age.

By the way, did you pick Skye as your name ? There's an Isle of Skye in Scotland.

Speak up, my hearing aid is low on batt power...

OMG DanceForMINI, I just realized that we have a lot in common! From our age, to the 1st dealership, up to the choice and color of our MINIs!

I'm 21....

I didn't pick a name for sure yet. I'm waiting until I see her to give her a name... but I'm pretty sure Skye will be it. We'll see.

Tweecky- I noticed that awhile ago too (you stole my year -1982) in the the peerage to pepper white And at one point we had the same number of posts, creepy

StarryEyed- My car will be coming into NY. I actually ordered from Classic Mini in Ohio, it's a 3 hour drive compared to the 1 for me to get to Motor City but I was really put-off by the communication I had with them just to set up the test drive.... decided I'd rather drive the extra two hours and be happy with the service. So far, so great BUT I have also heard people say they had great service, my brother in laws parents ordered from MCM and have been happy, they got their car a couple months ago.

I don't really "do" the sign thing and I'm not a Leo, I'm a Libra. But MINIspud, there is nothing wrong with Leos. Born leaders right?

So do you think I could claim my MINI was born on my Birthday? I was told it was born 6/5.. but it could have been 6/6 in England.... then I would SHARE a Bday with my baby....

I'm about 30+ mins from MCM so that's where I went lol... I had bad service from one person so I found a new sales guy. Now I'm happy lol. I'm from the Redford area... No minis that i know of around me.. I see them driving but never seen one in anyone's driveway lol.

Just for the sake of saying it, I'd say it as on your b-day!

Spidrz06- Isn't it generally better to have your "own day".... that way you can have two days in a row of celebrating every year

Thanks, people!

No pics by 5 pm, since I have to "speed" into DC for a birthday party - not mine (but it is my MINI's delivery birthday!).

I will try to get some shots up by tomorrow!

Rich

Ooops haha.. sorry.. assumed I was the only one born that year in the Peerage. Oh ok, 'cause if you were a Leo, it would've gotten creepier..
