I've decided I'm doing an oil change on the MINI every 7500 miles. I did this with my 5.9 Dodge Durango using Mobil One Synthetic. Engine was in great shape when I sold it with 100k miles. (had it flushed, no gunk).

I am not brave enough to follow the OBC.

I posted a new thread that shows the photos we were able to take of different MINIs across Europe. Swing by and take a look if you'd like (only a handful of pictures, not a 600+ slog!) I promise!

Here it is: https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...d.php?t=155504

This is post makes 4253...think we'll make 5000? We were waiting for my photos from MINI across Europe, and for the "mini mix up" replacement issue to be solved, any other current events?

Dude, Sweet.
Your MINI looks simply smashing! Love the lack of chrome with the body color. Fabulous. Wheels look killer!!!
Well Done!

Nurburgring only photos, culled from the mega album, my friends on Fodors said they wouldnt look thru 500 vacation shots to get 90 shots of the race track, so here is an album JUST about the ring.

Ok so yesterday I had my first "warning light' come on. The low tire warning light was on. I asked a friend to check out the air pressure and there was nothing wrong so I reset it. The only thing I could think of was it was cold and I hadn't driven her all weekend .... all was fine this morning!
Anyone else had this since the weather is changing?

That is normal unless you have nitrogen in your tires. $75 at my dealership to fill them up w/ nitrogen...hence the reason I have air and check every Friday after work...I keep each of mine at 36 psi (cold)

wheels look awesome.

my tire pressure light came on also not that long ago. It was right after having the car up over a hundred which is when it says they should be filled more. I thought it could have been that??

It says 33 psi on the door jam, therefore I will keep it at 33.

Toolazy:
Although I'm a nutter about chrome, I think your MINI looks GREAT! Those wheels are a big improvement over the stock color, especially with the red calipers. Good Job!

Thanks guys. I got them washed today for the first time (free car washes for life at Prestige) and everything held up nicely. I'd recommend to anyone looking to spice things up a little. Under $100

Me too! Bigelow protested the cooler weather and freaked me out with the "low tire" warning light. All tires were down so I pumped them up and did a reset. It's been 2 days and so far, so good. Bigelow is mad because he'll be garaged for the winter. He showed me the "warning triangle" with the snowflake in the middle this morning!

That is funny, he showed you the "snowflake" to let you know he will not like it.... I plan on driving Nugget everyday except for ice and snow, then she will be tucked away in the garage.
I will be leaving her for 10 days next week for vacation, let's see if she throws another code at me when i return.

Is Nugget feisty when she wants to go fast and you don't let her? Bigelow backfires and spouts until I put him in 5th gear. On the highway he hums going fast and then burbles when I slow him down. (When he's grumpy, he doesn't talk at all) He sings to me (a high pitched hum of sorts) when he's parked in the garage at night. He's a charmer with serious tude!
