i got in. here is the problem..... capital freakin letters haha. When I capitalized the first letter in my answer to the security questions it screwed things up, lower case letters work just fine. Silly web designer.

^awesome! i need to do a tour of europe.... with work though, I think it's gonna have to happen one stop at a time.

on my way out the door to my first mini-event. 45 mini's, about 90 people. driving for 3 1/2 hours to get somewhere 20 miles away. gotta love out-of-the-way awesome back country roads. Then, I'll eat a 5000 calorie burger at our meet spot. The camera's coming along, I'll be sure to take a lot.

there was 36 cars on the cruise I think... 48 total at the final meeting spot.

I definitely had a great time. I'd definitely do it again.

I was surprised to find out that I was one of the three younger drivers on the cruise.

the twisty roads we were on were awesome. we hit this one stretch of one-way twisties... it was absolutely incredible. we were flying through turns...

Euseys, did you ever get Mystique's name on the side of the car? Please post pix, that sounds awesome!

DWF- I love going out with our group! nice mix of ages and every one has the same thing in common, their MINI's. My next run is Nov. 2. doing a scavenger type rally this time. can't wait.

Yuko seems to have developed the ever popular dash squeak. Seem to be louder when i'm driving in sport mode.

now where was that remedy thread....

It looks great now, but I figured, what the heck! Do you guys think I;m gonna see a big difference after using the Epic?
Did you get it yet?
How's that Epic working out for ya? My white roof looks FAB

The dash squeeak--Mystique suffers from that too-- sounds like its coming from the little meter behind the steering wheel (Um, I dont Drive our MINI that often...I cant recall what is displayed on this tiny circle meter)

Anyways, Mystique sorta rattle-squeak noise when in LOW gear, going SLOW. Matt says "it occurs when I am not at the optimal speed, in the optimal gear" Whatever THAT means!

Anyways, it gets my blood up, because my cousin used to work in a car factory (nameless cousin, nameless factory) and when he was angry or felt like it, he would toss washers into the body so they rattled, there's only like, 5 places on a mini you could do that (watched the view about the construction process VERY Carefully) and none of those places are near this small circle gauge...so whats the deal? Sounds like the actual gauge is rubbing...Gonna jam some kleenex in there soon!

Oh, and we've got:

a) racing stripes for the boot
b) Nurburgring sticker (been there, done T H A T)
c) Clear bra for paint chip protection for the front
d) MYSTIQUE to add to the door panels

So we found a car place (body work) that will install all of it at once. Just gotta strip the wax from the front, so the clearcoat plasticy stuff sticks flawlessly and he's gonna do ALL of it, all at once.

Each of these items is wrapped in boxes just WAITING for us to drop the car off at the shop. Matt won't stop driving it to work, though!

So, whats the verdict on next oil change?
Mystique's got 5188 miles now, we changed it at 2500.
Split the difference between the "die-hards" I've read about who want to change it each 5000, or the factory who says 22000, so change it at 10,000?
What do you think?

I got mine changed at 1400 and anticipate doing the same as you, 10k, for the next change.
