Total success!
The inferior metal lip (thinner) was folded and then all the metal edge where the plastic arch is supported was pulled out, getting a wider space, gaining about 1 1/2 inches. Special care with the zone where the holes for the plastic clips are present.
Additionally, after installing the plastic arch, it is open some more degrees, generating a wider plastic arch without a noticeable visual distorisión.

Fender guard was not modified it is supported on the plastic arch.

No more rubbing at all. I am more than happy after two days of hard and precise work.
I'll be uploading photos as I can.

I hope my comments can help anothers using wider wheels with low offset without the need for major changes.

Thanks, this did help me as I am about to roll my fenders in the rear. I'm running 215/50 16x8 25et. I'm actually going to try and sell my tires though and run 215/45. No rush getting my car on the road.

Those look great.

Anyone see the New 17X8 4 lug Tire Rack C4 wheel?

It's rather inexpensive and I'd trust them. Unknown specs other than it fits a ND Miata

Sorry to jump in and ask a question, however, I'm looking into an 8" wheel. With everything stock on my 2013 JCW, would this application work well? I was looking at 18" wheels if that helps. Thanks!

Depends a lot on the offset and how far out you'll be moving the wheel. Being that a JCW suspension is approximately 3/4" lower than an S or base, moving the outside of the rim/tire too much may cause scrubbing on the wheel arch under load or during harder undulations. The only solutions then may be to stretch a narrower tire onto the 8" rim causing it to fold under the lip. The other solution may be at that point to adjust your camber so again the outside is angled under the wheel arch. Being an 18" doesn't help as the diameter/circumference between any wheel/tire combination should remain approximately the same as stock so to maintain revolutions per mile and keep your speedometer, tach and miles accurate.

For further consideration when trying to fit an 18"x8" inch wide wheel if replacing stock wheels: If a prospective wheel is the same width as the stock wheel, then the wheel will be pushed out only by the difference in offset. For instance, a 15x5.5 et35 will be 10mm further out when compared to a 15x5.5 et45 (45mm - 35mm = 10mm)

Factoring in extra width is a little more tricky. If the offsets are the same then the difference in width will be split evenly to the inside and outside. For instance, a 15x6.5 et45 will be ½" closer to the fender edge & ½" closer to the strut in the inside than a 15x5.5 et45.
Now, if the offset is different, that is then added (or subtracted if the offset is higher) to the outer movement. So a 15x6.5 et35 will be ½" (± 12.5mm) + 10mm (offset difference) = 22.5mm closer to the fender.

I was wondering this same thing. C4's are 17x8 ET 45. When you add them to your cart it says "Aggressive fitment. Will require fender modification for proper clearance."

Anyone have any photos of this size wheel? I tried willtheyfit.com and it says it will stick out about .85 inches and be .6 inches closer to the strut. (11 r56s on stock suspension)

Yea I'm more concerned with inner clearance. I know when I had 215 Federal RSRs (they run wide) on stock 7s they'd eat away lining on the inside front at full turn lock.

So I'd run 215's on these rather than 225. Still, I'd rather have a more aggressive offset, perhaps 40.

Hi guys, I'm having a year 2008 clubman S and Would like to seek your opinion if the follow set up can be used with little modification to the car:
17" Staggered setup Front 8,5 and Rear 9,5
Et13 and 25.

I read the whole thread however unable to find any information if it fits.

Thanks in advance

17X8.5 ET 13 and 17x9.5 ET 25?
It should look so good.

ET 30 was enough for me to start fixing rubbing issues

hi, I was looking at the XXr 530's xtreem concave and liked them very much so I called the vendor the gentleman was trying so hard to sell me a set of 17x9.75's et25 that will stick out about 2inches on my 2009 mcs, they do also offer the 17x8.25 etc 25, my car has eBach lowering springs so I am about an inch over my current 17x7's, I do have rear sway and adjustable on the car.with 9.75 I will need 18.1mm space on the inner side to clear the rear struts, will I have it.
Please chime in before I make a final decision.
Thx
Ben

I have a 2012 Clubman S. Tire Rack has TR Motorsports C4 wheels in a 17x8 +45, and I want to run 215/45-17 tires. How tight is the fitment really going to really be? The 215/45 tire is only one step up from the OEM tire, same with the wheel. Are the Mini wheel wells really that tight to the OEM size that a performance wheel is going to take up that much more room?

For wheels up to 18' I think the offset is the problem.
It should not be less than 35/40.
With a lower offset the rubbing issues will start but the aesthetics starts to get awesome

That looks really very nice! Congrats!

Do you think about "opening" a little the metal lip under the plastic cover to avoid too much camber change?

just put 15x8s on my r53, with 225/45/15 rs3s, 10mm spacers all around +36 949racing wheels I had coilover rub without the spacers on front, and in the back the trailing arm was too close for comfort, I could go with 2mm minimum but went 10 to keep it even

No rub, but I'm on KW colivers with 9kg swift up front and 8kg swift in back, not much body roll I dunno what I would have to hit to get rub but it would be something bad lol

Are you running 8 inch wheels with +26 offfset (36-10)?
It is a too lower offset, surely you need a camber adjustment and some roll to avoid rubbinf on a bumpy zone

So I had my VIS hood that I was waiting for a free time to add to the car.they make great carbon products.I think that there is too much meet on those tires so I may go with 215/40/17 tires vs 45's and lower the car a little bit more.
