Roll call - 8"+ wide wheels
Hi, so I've bitten the bullet and ordered my new rims - problem is I'm now getting worried they wont fit.
I went for 8.5x17s all around with an offset of ET38. Tyres I was planning on were 205/45
This is for an R53 btw
Now I know they are gunna poke, but I'm more worried about the fronts hitting the coilovers (FK's.) From what I can tell the standard S-spokes have an offset of 48 and they apparently just clear the coilovers. The new wheels (using the calculators) are gunna have 9mm less clearance, but I've seen a couple of cars on the forums that are running ET35 8.5x17 on the fronts without spacers.
Anyone got any thoughts/comments?

And I saw the post of that beaut on StanceWorks FB thread. Very classy and I'm very jelly. She's got great taste and knows how to make it fit. Looking forward to seeing your 1552's btw

20mm up front for the dynapro calipers on my todd/tce bbk (they move the wheel so that the larger diameter part of the barrel is near the caliper, the spokes have plenty it is the barrel of the wheel that needs to be moved outboard a bit), stock brakes should be fine with none
5mm for the trailing arm, a slimmer spacer might fit but i had 5mm in the tool box... and 3mm are really tough to find

Thanks!
My suspension is stock other than camber plates (set to -2)
I have 12mm bolts so I am not 100% sure, you could PM or email Alex@Tirerack, I ordered from him and he should be able to check.

there aren't many in UT that have more then some tint and lowering springs that I have seen, thats for sure.

None, They "JUST" fit. However,I do have Fixed camber in front and the rear rubs after a good bump. I have rear adjustable control arms, but I believe they're set at the factory setting
Just forward of the rear bumper seam, but a heavy bump will rub most of the mid section. So far it's only the wheel well covers, not the arches.
Gitmoe - I'm guessing that the wheels were re-drilled rather than adapters.
Minian - those wheels look great on your car
-Thanks for the wheel compliment. I'm still trying to warm up to them.
I'll have to sell them if I get a BBK.
Yeah Fill and redrill, the stock wheels had good offset so I just went that route
