Its MINI day! So far I have seen 6 and that was just coming to work!

I've been looking for a different way to leave the house in the morning because I am trapped around like 5 schools and I leave for when they are taking busses in and out. PAIN! Anyway, I took a different side road and there it was, the little CR/Wht MCS that I have been seeing motoring around my nabarhood. It was parked outside a house, it looked cold, almost stopped. Funny thing is, I can't remember the roads name, just that its near the "Pointe".

Next one was at about 7:30 as I was getting ready to get on 44 from 141. There 'she' was coming off 44 onto 141. Blue MINI, the gal? driving had on a hoody. Waved, but don't think 'she' saw me.

Next was just as I was coming up on 270, it was a PW/Blk zipping past on the other side of the highway. Then there was the SG Convertable parked in a gated lot at a school downtown. Once again there is the Yellow MC that was once the Kitty Litter Car, they made it better. And last is the Blue MCS Convertable. I came to a crazy stop when i saw it. Just sitting in there in the parking lot at work. Looked like it came from a long drive with bugs on the grill. Good fun ride I hope. One thing I have to note is that the rear plate frame said Memphis Rally. (Or something like that.)

Well, thats my MINI day, so far. Wonder how many more I will see when I drive home? I can't wait!

Hi all

new to the forum. I'm hoping to order an 06 PW/B MCS in the spring.

Let's see, I saw a dark silver MCS while out to lunch yesterday off Dorsett road, then this morning I followed a chili red S in to an early meeting at the Edward Jones home office. I parked next to Scott and his PW/B MC and said hi to him after the meeting. Beautiful Cooper, I was so envious standing right next to it. Next year my precious, next year.

Will be joining you soon ...

... Mr. Sunnyhorse and I are awaiting delivery of our PS/B 2006 MC sometime this month -- it's on the boat to Charleston as we speak. Look for us around Wentzville and on the interstate between Wentzville and Westport. If we see you, we'll wave -- promise!

I've seen a British racing green Mini in Festus, I'll hopefully be adding a chili w/white top MCS in a couple months.

How are everyone Mini's fairing in the snow storm in/arond St. Louis today?

I have to admit that even though I decided to work from home today, I had an uncanny desire to take Sunnie out. She's never seen snow I turned the DSC off to get up the steep hill by my house, after that I turned it back on & I had no problems on the snow covered roads. The all seasons leave a little to be desired so a set of snow tires may be in Sunnie's future if St Louis gets struck hard this year with snow I have a BRG Cabrio but live in South County. I do get to Festus on occasion however.Wave if you see me

you should come down to Southern Jefferson county more often, nice place with small town atmosphere. We were out the day after Christmas and saw 7 Mini's in different places around town (Brentwood, Manchester Road, South County, and even one in Festus).

How is everyone's experience with Mini of St. Louis, is it a good dealership to work with? I'm about to get rid of my Jeep and finally get a Mini after looking at them since 2002. Mini of St. Louis has a few in their inventory but would like to hear from experience as to how well they are to work with and how they treat their customers.

Thanks, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.

Great customer experence with MINI Of Saint Louis, in sales and service.
If I needed to buy another car, it would be a MINI and I would be a repeat customer at MINI of Saint Louis.
I hope you have a MINI NEW YEAR,

I've had very good experience with MINI of St Louis with both the sales team (Devin) and service. I bought my first 2003 MCS off the lot and then ordered my 2005 MCSC. I would definitely give them a thumbs up.

I bought my first MINI from MINI of St Louis & had absolutely no problems with sales & service. My Cabrio came from another dealer because of mark up at MINI of St Louis but I have had it in for service & a new roof & they have treated me & my MINI very well. I even got a loaner when the new roof was installed.

Everyone, thanks for the information on Mini of St. Louis. How well does the Mini crowd stay together or do things here around St. Louis? Is there events or outings that everyone goes on occationally? I don't have a Mini yet but should in a short period of time either order or buy out of inventory. You mentioned Mini of St. Louis has a mark up, they don't go by MSRP? How well do they do accessory/mods such as Bluetooth or security systems for Mini's? I live South of Festus and don't see very many Mini's down around there but will add to their population soon.

Thanks,

Scott

Scott,

They were asking $1500 over MSRP on the Cabrios when they first came out. I'm not sure if they still do.

Thanks Lois. They don't play fair of there, I stopped by last night and looked at one and ended up getting it as a loaner which my wife and i fell in love with last night. I'm working the purchase starting today. The Mini is a 2005 S, Jet Black, with antrhacite heandliner and interior, cold weather, Sport, Premium, and JCW packages, HK audio and even the 18in wheels. Wow what a car!!! So if I don't encounter eny hitches today I'll be a Mini owner by this weekend. They gave me $100 over the price of I wanted for trade-in and are extending the warranty by 5K miles for the 1700 that are on the car, yes it is even broken in already.

I'll let you know if everything goes well and you can add me to the Mini club for St. Louis. I'll have to come up with a good name for a Jet Black hatchback S with JCW.

Thanks,

Scott

Cabrio Mark-up

When I bought my LY MCC this November, there was indeed a $1500 mark-up over the MSRP . Included in that markup was floor mats and the BIG cup holder. I was told that because it was the Cabrio, they mark it up that much. I still wanted/needed this MCC for my mid-life crisis, so...

On an MC, the mark-up is $500 on a new one.

I've put together the price and what is on it and comeout $500 under MSRP. I'm going to have a security system and Bluetooth put on it too.

I'm going through the purchase process today and will take it after Jan 1 so as not to get personal property tax hit this year.

All I can say at this point is WOW!!! Big change from my 1997 Jeep Wrangler. I've told my daughter this will be her first car in six year and with her first ride last night she said this is the perfect first car for her.

Motor on

Congratulations, Scott! Maybe Mr. Sunnyhorse and I will see you at the dealership on Monday -- we're scheduled to pick up our car at 11 a.m.

Your daughter is one lucky girl -- my first car was a 1981 Chevette!

Roger that I was really worried about the Jet Black and may still look at some graphics but only plan on putting my retire USMC sticker on the rear window with my wifes retire USN sticker, has become a way of our family knowing our cars. If anyone has suggestions on graphics for a black mini S I would like to hear them. For now I just want to get through the trade/loan process and on to just enjoying our new addition to the family.

I look forward to meeting Mini owners from around the area too. Once I have the car as mine I'll get some photos on this forum for all to see.

Thanks,
Scott

Great news, Scott

Silver looks great with Jet Black. Maybe a silver UJ on top with silver boot & bonnet stripes. Just a thought

silver and black

Yes sliver and black go very well together, turn it into a Oakland Raiders MINI Big Raiders Shield on the Roof and "RAIDERS" on the Side At a slight Upward angle, With sliver Lighting bolts for the Bonnet strips, Sliver tint on the windows.(if you don't mind getting pulled over but the COPS every day ) personlized plates that read "R8DRS 1". As you can see I put alot of thought into this.

I know the Raiders suck this year, But as a die hard fan thats what I would do. "GO RAIDERS" oh wait they already left .

Big mistake on the price of the JCW so I should be picking up a 2006 MCS Red w/Black top and black bonnet stripes. Has all the packages that I wanted on it and had security and bluetooth phone added, rear fog light too.

I'll let you know how it turns out and send pictures too. I have a brother-in-law who rides BMW motorcycles all around Missouri and will get some routes from him for curvie roads that I can suggest for motoring with the St. Louis club for outings. He puts together trips like that for the BMW motorcyle owners too.

Tahnks for all the info and I look forward to meeting you all soon.

Still have to find a name that fits my Mini once I pick it up.

Scott
