On another note.......

I'm glad I didn't buy a stubby antennae. I have the Navigation System and never realized that the NAV antennae replaces the traditional MINI one. The MINI antennae is then built into the rear side passenger window. You can hardly notice it. So, the NAV antennae gives the car a really nice look.

Just thought someone might want to know that, unless I just totally missed this and everyone else knows. A definate possibility.

HAHAHA! MiniUSA Kills me. They just changed my EDD to 3/28. They waited for it to show at the dealer then changed my EDD to that day. Why don't they cut the the BS and just move me to "at the dealer".

I've actually already done all this before - I took delivery of an S last year but sold it to my bro - at that time the askmini seemed more helpful.

 

To all Carmen passengers, did the OL update to show you at the VPC? I'm still showing en route with an estimated delivery date of 3/26 (funny, I don't remember picking my car up 2 days ago).

I'm still listed as enroute as well, with an estimated delivery of 3/25. Yeah... the really fun part begins now..

Gotta go pick up my tires tonight! I'm nervous about how the wheels'll look on my car now too...

Just nervous and anxious in general about the whole thing. What if it's not what I ordered? What if it's broken somehow? What if...!

well I just call my MO and he said that little Red is through the VPC and was Released to Distribution. we shall see....

Well, I'm still missing my MINI. It was loaded on the Jingu Maru on March 03, and is still not at the dealer in Indianapolis. They promised by the end of the month...but we are already at the 28th day of the month and 25 days since it was loaded on the Jingu Maru. Counting the days...hours...minutes...SECONDS!

Just got word from my MA and she said my delivery date to the dealer is now 3/30. This would mean 27 days from the date of being loaded onto the Jingu Maru!

Got some Rota Tarmacs in Steel Grey since the model's been discontinued and Machiii.net had a great deal on them. I keep looking at them in the basement in the dark and worrying that they're TOO dark and just going to look silly on my car. Maybe I should, like, look at them in the sunlight again before I get too worried, eh?

If they finish my MINI today, pick-up will be tomorrow (Saturday). Just in time for the weather to clear up and get back in the 60's. YIPEE!

I just spoke with my MA. He said my mini should be here soon. I don't think he knew whether it was at the VPC or on a truck, because he said it could come any day in the next two weeks (so much for soon).

I e-mailed him my list of programmable options. Hopefully my car was last on the boat, first off and then first out of the VPC - but I doubt it.

I think this is the hardest part -- not knowing, but knowing the call could come at any time that the car is ready. I really wish the VPC worked 7 days a week -- I don't want them taking the next two days off while my car takes seagull poop hits to its white roof.

Stll shows en route with delivery on 3/25. It's magic!

 

Interesting side note...my MA just e-mailed me to help her write her Bio for their Website. Funny...I've never even met her! Only e-mail!

 

a little late for this club but I am now scheduled for production on 3/28 (Today ) and have a production number of 33483TD7742...so still sitting on the fence between April and May arrival....

I should be getting my 2003 Mini Cooper S around mid-April. It wasn't really ordered, but there are going to be a few the way I like them. I am looking at any color except yellow or either blue. But it must have both premium and sport packages, HK and cold weather would also be nice, but not necessary. We just came back from Florida, and went to South Mini in Miami. Though they had excellent service, their Mini's were either too loaded or unloaded. Plus shipping would add on another $1300. Momentum Mini in Houston should be getting a lot of Mini's here in the next couple of weeks, hopefully they'll have at least one with all the options I want.

Lastwave, you've always been in the April Club! :smile: Great to hear you're finally Status 150!!! Your "production number" is freakin' me out; Production number is an actual numeric number, i.e. 3719510 (mine), and your VIN's last seven characters, i.e. TD66772 (also mine) is what you use to track your MINI on the WW site.

GB_Junkie, welcome to CWFAC! Sounds like you took the easy way out, and just let the dealer pick your options for you Good luck, and make sure to post some pics when you get your MINI!
