Katie I am totally confused about your car, I would look it over very closely, check to see if there were work orders at the VDC, You are close to New York aren't you???? Maybe it was just delay's in the process, I hope so!! I have seen a VR and they are gorgous.



Flo is at the VDC next stop Kansas City, (Meriam Kansas actually) still 4/5/3 delivery date, I will be surprised

congrats to all the new minis finding their real homes!

So, I went out to the barn today to visit my horses and the baby (2 years old this summer) was kind enough to kick me in the left knee with no warning. I can't walk, can't hobble, can't do a whole lot right now until the swelling goes down and I can see what might be damaged.

This DEFINITELY means that my MINI'll be at the dealership this week, right? I mean, this is how these things go. I can't clutch! o m g.

Not that it realy matters but I'm also at the VPC. I'm really hoping for the call this week saying I can pick up my Mini this weekend. The race for the first Carmen delivery is on.

 

I just got a call from my MA!!! My mini should be here this week. I should be able to pick it up on Friday if I want. Problem is I still have my leased car til May 16th. Paying for two at once is a little costly. I only have one parking space for 3 cars!

I told my MA I wanted it on my bday (April 16th) but I guess they didn't hold it. Is it FATE!?!?!? Should I just go for it and get it Friday? How could I wait?!?! I couldn't be more excited! Yippee!!!! I will let you know what happens.

Does anyone think that there would be a problem with putting a mini through a car wash when it has rally lights? Just thought I would ask.

I got another call. The S stripes I wanted (white with black edges) won't work on my MC. And they dont have an other white stripes with black edging. :???: Why couldn't they tell me that sooner? Does anyone know iwhere I can buy the stripes for the MC?

 

Kelisa: there's UK sign shop but they only have "detailed" not "ruled" like you want. I think your dealership is full of crap personally Honestly tho, I wouldn't wanna take the risk of getting the driving lights screwed up by those heavy and brutal cloth-walls! Try to stick to the self-do "quarter" washes, or better yet, hand-wash in your driveway! Take a look at the Detailing 101 Forum, lots of info in there!

Ryan, Thanks for the advice! I got some tips from Dave. I have to find a sign shop around here for the stripes. According to the dealer, the S stripes are "shaped differently" and won't fit right. I was dwelling on that point in my mind while he went on about stripes being discontinued after December or something. He was talking but all I heard in my mind was "stripes won't fit? stripes won't fit? why? why? why?". Oh well. I will put it together somehow and will be sure to update everyone on how it goes. :smile:

Yeah, even the doctors are saying that.. ice, elevation. Come back if it still hurts in a week. Had some xrays taken that showed that I'm not broken, but no word yet about the soft tissue besides massive bruising.
