It fits Dobby's personality. Charlie hasn't caused any issues until his recent extended stay at the VDC. I think he's just waiting until his flag arrives until he decides to come home.

Cheers,
The OL has finally given an estimated delivery date for me - next friday, 6/19! For me this means another two weeks beyond that date to motor, as I have to ship the car to here in the NW...
WW is still not showing a landing yet.
getting closer, though...

Thanks, guys.
Thanks, guys.
I just thought of another option for Dobby's plates - "INIW" the upside down MINI.

(I would have named my car Higgins, except that's my Cavalier King Charles Spaniel's name!)
Pigwidgeon's arrival
I picked up Pigwidgeon on Saturday morning at 10 am. The folks at Hank Aaron MINI in Atlanta were very nice, had Pig all covered up for the unveiling and everything. Pig looked great, only six miles on the odometer--the only blemish was a small air bubble in one of the bonnet stripes.
The service department programmed Pigwidgeon to my specs (auto unlock at key off, daytime running lights, 30 second follow me home lights), I paid for my baby, and we were out of there  .
Since I wasn't too confident with the manual transmission, I let my brother drive Pig back to my parents' house (he wants a MINI, so he was pretty happy). I made sure that I drove it first, though--out of the service area. I think I gave the poor service tech a heart attack
. Once we got back to the relative quiet of my folks' neighborhood, I started to really practice. Lots of lessons later, I was doing much better. Pigwidgeon was pretty filthy from road grime and new car dust, so he (she?) got his (her?) first bath yesterday afternoon.I drove back home to Birmingham yesterday in driving rain. Pig handled great and I didn't stall once
. I made it to work in one piece today, as well. I'm hoping to motor some more this afternoon. The whole experience was so much fun, with the only damper being that my husband is in Idaho and couldn't pick up Pigwidgeon with me. He'll get to meet him (her?) after July 4th when he comes to meet me in the Southeast and we embark on our road trip to Idaho (our new home). I can't wait for the road trip--it's going to be great.
Now I'm off to order some accessories and figure out whether Pig is a boy or a girl
!

I really like INIW. It's so Dobby.
How's the motoring? Does Dobby still have the hippy hippy shakes?
Cheers,

!Is Pig a boy or a girl?!? Check under the bonnet! Or the boot! "Hey, watch where you're putting those cold hands!"
Cangrats again and Cheers,
Padre is at the dealership! He arrived safely on Friday. He was a little tired after the long truck ride and too much chicken-fried steak at coffee shops along the way. We took care of all the paperwork and I left them the chrome grill so I could have it installed with the driving lights. We don't get to pick him up until lunch time tomorrow. Everybody at work is just as anxious as I am to get Padre because they want rides and they are sick of hearing me talk about it! Why do I keep envisioning a pale little girl with a big red fro singing "Tomorrow, tomorrow. I love ya tomorrow." Please make it stop.Cheers,
Iniw

I'm sure you want your love life to be discussed on open message boards right?! Anyway, you know I already love you so tell your boyfriend to get his act together or all of the handsome Maydayer men are going to start fighting over you. Forget the fact that some of us are happily married, it's the threat that counts!
Cheers,

Checked oplates.com and you can get that one! I certainly would think it'd be awesome if you're going to keep the badge the way it is.

Cheers,

Motoring is AWESOME. I am getting more and more daring. I've stopped braking for corners. Yesterday, I pulled into an empty parking lot to see exactly what he can do. That night, while on my way to the club, I was listening to some Onyx with the windows all the way down, the sunroof open, and my long curly hair blowing EVERYWHERE. It was awesome. I cannot wait until all the Maydayers (and you, spedu4ea) get to motor.........
iYellow and Pigwidgeon
Some pics of iyellow picking up Pigwidgeon are here.
WannaMini, who cares what other people think of Dobby? He's got more character now than most cars have after twenty years. Other cars could only wish they were as lucky.
Um, it occurs to me that I might look like some psycho stalker posting pictures on the internet. If you're wondering, I'm iyellow's husband ("Aiello" is pronounced "I-Yellow" ).
