I ordered my IB/W w/Bonnets, premium, sport, letherette, on March 27, and already this wait is killing me.

I am a week 19 build. Which is supposedly, according to four sources, the first week of May. The ASK MINI line says scheduled for production, but no date, and Owner's Lounge still says On order.

My baby (who is yet to be named) will be coming through New York).

Anyone else a May build??

Ask Mini tells me that I'm also Schedule for production with no date yet.

OL says On Order.

Do you know which week build you are supposed to be? You can find out on 866-ASK-MINI and talk to a rep.

Spav - I think we may have crossed in another thread. Classic Mini maybe?

I ordered mine on April 1st I believe...so mine should be coming in right around the same time.

YOu never know - your dealer could have slots reserved in week 16 even. It all just depends on your dealer. Just because two people order at the same time doesn't mean they are built at the same time. Kinda unfair, huh?

Yeah...we crossed somewhere..Yeah I'm at Classic Mini. I didn't talk to a rep. I'm trying to be nice about it, all of the people around me already think I'm an obsessed fanboy anwyay.

I'll be patient......maybe :grin:

Oh yeah...placed my order April 3rd. That helps

I ordered april 3rd as well. I think that I am week 21 or something though, maybe 22. At any rate, I am getting mine from a little mini joint in TX and had a hard time wainting for my deposit confirmation. Late june to early July is SOOO far away! I may go crazy, I need a mini fix. :razz:

Just a bump. Would love to get a group going here. Uuugh - I'm still ON ORDER in the Owner's Lounge, and Scheduled with no date on ASK MINI.

DRIVING ME CRAZY. My MA says that is usually only two weeks, and it's been a week and a half!!!!!!

In production, estimated completion of April 22nd. Already looking at possible boats to the US. Whee, I'm so excited.

I ordered March 29 (pw/b); Owner's Lounge says only On Order. Does that song drive anyone else crazy? Called Ask-MINI. They could not tell me the week build No. Actually, the person on the other end of the line said "Hmmmm. It looks like it was supposed to go into production April 5. I guess it will be this week." What do you think is going on? Should I contact the dealer to see if they know anything, or are they as in the dark as I am? :sad:

EngTech, YES - call your dealer for sure. I highly doubt that if you just ordered that it already went into production. They recycle the production numbers, so I have a feeling that something had to cycle on through.

Call your MA to see what is up...BTW - did you get an MC or MCS?

Thanks for the advice, WannaMini. I stopped by this morning. He said according to his records it should have gone into production on April 5, but apparently it did not. I'm getting an MC. I'm an old lady English teacher, after all. I think PW with B and tinted windows looks very decorous. I'm very "undecorously' excited about it. :smile:

As a point of reference..my MCS was a May 2002 build..:smile:

ENGTEACH: So was it discovered why your car did not start production? Is there a hold up in Oxford? Or was something wrong with your spec? What happened?

He looked at some sheets he had, which gave production details. If my car had gone to production 4/5 as it was supposed to have done, the VIN should have been on the sheet. It was not. That's all I know now. Think I'll call Ask-Mini again.

Oh, BostonMark, I certainly hope so. I'm about to cry each time I just hear, "No completion date." Uuugh - this is so grueling. I'm not a patient person, and when I want something, I have a hard time being patient for it, you know?

Those will be the most beautiful words to my ears to hear something different. I'm so terrible though - I just sent an email to my MA to be sure my order isn't lost or got demoted somehow. :oops:

The wait is only going to get worse with each stage.

Hehehe, I ordered mine on the monday, got it by thursday :wink: They had one on the showroom floor that was VERY close to what I wanted, only thing differant, interior is all black, I wanted blue and black, oh well, could not wait, so I got it, liking the black/black quite abit now.

Well, a weekend has past. It's been three weeks and two days since I've ordered. I'm almost afraid to call or go to owner's lounge. I know it hasn't moved, and I know I will blow a gasket. :cry:

You could try calling ASK-MINI. Just found out that Henley (my MINI) is in the paint shop :grin:

I know you'll be on the line soon. And you'll have yours just in time for summer too!

My MA just told me that I should be changing status anyday now. Oh dear please before I blow a gasket! That poor guy - I've been driving him nuts. I even asked him if perhaps MINI lost my order, or was letting other cars go ahead of mine - who knows, maybe Brittany Spears - or better yet Prince William wanted to buy 10. :lol:

Wel according to Ask Mini I am a week 18 Build. So I am trying to stay calm.
