Oh, and I just spoke with a Richard at Ask Mini --- he offered the status code without me even requesting it. Also said I should have my VIN by earlier next week!

Hi ya'll...got room for one more in the November club? I ordeed in late July and really haven't kept close track of Mistoffolees up til now, but just got off the phone with Richard at ASK-MINI and he said I was a status 160.

YES! Mistoffolees will fit right in here, with such an ultra-cool name! WOO HOO! We love getting more Nov Club members!

And even though I call the CWFNC my home, my MA called today and said that Sona will be ready to go within the last week and a half to week of October. OMG! That is a month ahead of what I was at first told!!!! I suppose that means less DP $$ but more excitement factor because I am DYING to get my hands on that little car! I can't believe it!

 

Spoonleg - WOW! Late October, that's fantastic. Things are moving along nicely. Who is your MA? I learned yesterday that my MA (Tim) was let go. I want to make sure I don't end up with the one you are stuck with if she uses tactics like that. There still seems to be an element of sleave factor at Momentum.

Hey November peeps,

I just checked the status of my MCS on the website, and the options match what I ordered now. I only placed my order this week, but the build date still says 10/31. I guess I got one of the last October build slots.

Good thing I knew from MCO that it takes a couple of days for the specs on teh Mini website to match, or I would have freaked out about the dealer getting my order messed up. Ah, the unparalleled information of MCO! I think I know more about Minis than half the people who drive them at this point!

PS I am so freakin' psyched that I could plotz. How am I going to survive the next two months?

Waypoint, shouldn't you be in the October club? Not that we don't love you. I'm just looking out for your interests!

Ryan you are fantastic ! I went to that W/W site just the other night and I couldn't figure it out. I didn't know where to start and where to enter my VIN number. so THANK YOU ! You found my MINI for me! I am so excited. I think I'll take the Jingu Maru Voyage EQ328-JGM information and see if I can figure out how to use the Coast Guard GPS on line to track it.

Spoonleg, I just bet Sona is on a ship but it's not posted anywhere! She sounds like a pretty wild girl, you'll have to give her strict rules to follow when she gets home, or no telling how often she'll go missing!

UKNUT and Toonses - WOW! Paint Shop - you are almost built! My MINI was in the paint shop Tuesday and today (Friday) she's on a ship's list! You are coming right along!

Hi all,

Ordered my MCS Sept.13 and am hoping for delivery in Nov. Don't know how all of you deal with the wait. With the time it took me to convince my wife to let me get the MCS and now the wait for production and delivery, it feels as if I've aged a few years.

I really don't know what to expect from this car. I've test driven the MCS ~4 times, but didn't really feel comfortable pushing it as I have not driven a manual for ~10 years and I don't think driving my Honda Odyssey has prepared me for my upcoming MINI experience. I've considered looking into a MINI specific driving school (performance driving preferably) and would appreciate any suggestions for anything near NJ.

And while I've got you here, has MINI made any changes to the underside to protect the PS fan? If not, has anyone ordered a skid plate and , if so, from whom?

Methinks I need to figure out a feline name for my BRG, but who's ever heard of a green cat? I live in South Austin! and I'm buying my MINI from the San Antonio MINI Center too! They are a great group! I met Richard down there in Feb while he was still working out of the BMW side of the house! After they opened the MINI dealership, I went back a few times to see the MINIs. I have a lease that ends in Dec so timing of my order was critical... So finially in July I went for my Official Test Drive and paid my deposit and placed my order with Alex!

What's your MINI like? Give us the details so Ryan can update the Can't Wait for Nov Club's Web Page! Color, roof, seats, dash color, option packages or what seperate options you are getting. -- oh and if you give the digits of your VIN number - like mine is WMWRE33414TD76302 - Ryan will be able to locate your car as being booked on a ship leaving Southampton! I hope your MINI is on the Jingu Maru like my MINI is! That would be really exciting! Two MINIs from the club both on the same ship and going to the same dealer!!

Pebbles...this is too cool, I live just outside the Cedar Valley area about 5 miles from the Salt Lick. I placed my order with Alex as well. Sure would be neat if both Minis set sail on the boat together and got to the MINI Center at the same time!

I checked the Cargo tracking site and my Mini doesn't show up yet. However when I spoke with Richard on Friday, he was really helpful and explained that the railway carriers run all weekend and my Mini could still make it to the boat.

What's odd is I was told I was in the Paint Shop on 9-30 !

and I tried to find Waypoint's VIN and it's not yet entered! and he's just 18 cars behind me! I'm TD76302 and he's TD76320. So what's the deal with that??? I say they are all booked but the web site doesn't have them all entered correctly!

I can't believe Waypoint and I are so close and we are both from the same dealer!

This is great!!! Your order is set and your production week is set!
I know you are excited!! It goes really fast now! One day you get the VIN and like 2-3 days later it's started! It's a real fun week!

 

I have been waiting on the sidelines for the last few weeks and haven't had a thing to say until now. Here goe's. I GOT VIN ! End of message.

If you tell us the last digits (like mine is TD76302) then when Ryan updates the list you can see where you stand and watch the status progress. I am sure there is someone else with a 10-10 production week who is close to you. With the VIN number, It's pretty neat to watch not just your MINI but other's built your same week! Like Ryan is TD76176, I am TD76302 and Waypoint is TD76320. We are so close to each other on the assembly line, we can almost track status by each other. (when Ryan got to 150 I knew I was close behind him sure enough I was)
